He subdued the king with miraculous powers, etc. The saying 'without root' that developed from this is just a little bit. 3-399 This lineage that is transmitted nowadays considers this to be in the style of commentary. Among the five hundred with matted hair, one follower was the Eastern Black One. This very one is the gradual entry of the less fortunate, having just emerged from among the five hundred with matted hair, and having followed the Yogishvara (Lord of Yoga). Therefore, he had not participated in the previous teachings and desired to enter, being of dull faculties, and was granted the Vajra Verses, allowed to forget, etc., possessing these characteristics. Therefore, he was granted the Vajra Verses and blessed through the stages of Dom Stom. Relying on him, this precious oral transmission has continued to develop. That is, the Yogishvara granted the Vajra Verses to the great accomplished Eastern Black One, who is also called the King Lion Victorious or Victorious over the Wind in the central region. To give him confidence, the Yogishvara prophesied: 'From the five hundred thousand tantras of Dharmagatsa (Dharma Palace) in the west, Ugyen, invite the reliable scriptures called the Five Sections of Scripture.' For example, the great accomplished Lohipa granted manifest realization to Dharika, and prophesied: 'From Ugyen, invite the tantra of the Dakini Kuntu Zangmo (All-Good Conduct),' and then acted accordingly, the situation is similar. 3-400 The so-called Five Sections of Scripture are not clearly explained in the Sakya tradition. In the Shalu tradition, they appear frequently, so someone said: 'In your place, is there always a definite target for these Five Sections of Scripture?' In any case, although such a Black One came from the south, because he was an Eastern Indian, he was called the Eastern Black One. Or because of his long ears, or because of the particularity of the place Karna, he is also called the Black One Karnapa. According to the previous lineage of Gonpo (Protector), it is said that he will definitely obtain the title Kahapa. Such a Black One also subdued a king who was involved with seventy-two consorts. Initially, he came into the midst of the consorts. The consorts explained the reasons to the king, and the king said: 'Settle it with punishment!' When the king's army went out, the teacher came in. When he went in, he came out again. Both inside and outside were filled with the army, and the teacher sent out more and more emanated armies, eventually increasing to one hundred and eight, and the king knew that he had attained accomplishment, so he prostrated at his feet, etc. At that time, the Yoga... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Lord of Yoga (Tibetan: བྱོར་དབང་ཕྱུག་, meaning: the one who masters the power of yoga) said, as predicted by Ḍāmarupa: The Black One (Tibetan: ནག་པོ་པ) transmitted Avadhūtipa (Tibetan: ཨ་བ་དྷུ་ཏི་པ) to Ḍāmarupa, who then transmitted it to Gayadhara (Tibetan: ག་ཡཱ་དྷ་ར). Avadhūtipa prophesied among the nomads that the precious oral transmission would be passed down by word of mouth among those people, remaining in a hidden manner. Therefore, it did not gain such great fame in the Holy Land (India), nor did it spread with great development. This teaching that spontaneously emanated from the mouths of the Ḍākinīs (Tibetan: མཁའ་འགྲོ), the essence of all the Sutras, Vinaya, and Abhidharma, the very heart of the essence, is profound and subtle, passed down by word of mouth, from one to another, and is only the field of practice for those who are qualified. Although this is the case, it is not that others in the Holy Land (India) had absolutely no knowledge of it. The great accomplished Pāwo Ösel (Tibetan: དཔའ་བོ་འོད་གསལ་) and Thupa Chin (Tibetan: ཐུབ་པ་བྱིན་), among others, said that the path of the Lord of Yoga is like this. It is said that they merely recognized it as such. These are the histories of how it spread in the Holy Land (India). It is said that in other lineages, regarding the parts of wondrous stories, there is not much written about 'this and that' in their own and others' documents. However, Je Tsongkhapa (Tibetan: རྗེ་བླ་མ་) said that there are many omissions here. For example, Ḍāmarupa carried a man-eating tiger (Tibetan: སྟག་མི་ཟན་) and a heretical king on his shoulders, placing the heretical king, along with his five hundred attendants, on the Vajrayana (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་ཐེག་པ་), and so on. From Vajradhara (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་) to Gayadhara, there are seven holders of the oral transmission in the Holy Land (India). This is a small part of the wondrous stories from the profound teachings of the glorious Lama (Tibetan: དཔལ་ལྡན་བླ་མ). The circumstances of its appearance in Tibet: Regarding the second part, the circumstances of its spread in Tibet, there are also three aspects: generally, the Dharma (Tibetan: བསྟན་པ); specifically, the Lamrim (Tibetan: ལམ་སྐོར); and particularly, the circumstances of the spread of the oral transmission (Tibetan: གསུང་ངག་). The first part also has three aspects: the initial spread; the decline in the middle; and the final spread. The first point is: During the time of Lha Thothori Nyentsen (Tibetan: ལྷ་ཐོ་ཐོ་རི་སྙན་ཞལ་རིང་), the twenty-sixth king of Tibet, the supports of body, speech, and mind (Tibetan: སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་) descended from the sky, and the Paṇḍita (Tibetan: པཎྜི་ཏ) Lo Sem Tso (Tibetan: བློ་སེམས་མཚོ) and the translator Li Tise (Tibetan: ལི་ཐི་སེ) brought them back, enshrining them under the name 'Secret Holy Objects,' thus initiating the beginning of the Holy Dharma. After that, it developed during the time of the fifth king, Songtsen Gampo (Tibetan: སྲོང་བཙན་སྒམ་པོ). Then, during the time of the third king, Trisong Detsen (Tibetan: ཁྲི་སྲོང་ལྡེའུ་བཙན་), the Khenpo Bodhisattva (Tibetan: བཏགས་མཁན་པོ་བོ་དྷི་ས་ཏྭ) and Kamalaśīla (Tibetan: ཀཱ་མ་ལ་ཤཱི་ལ་), among others, were invited. The Seven Tested Ones (Tibetan: སད་མི་བདུན་) and others were ordained, Samye Monastery (Tibetan: བསམ་ཡས་) and others were built, and the Dharma became extremely prosperous, and so on. The second point is: King Langdarma (Tibetan: གླང་དར་མ) destroyed the Dharma, his mind possessed by demons, destroying the three supports (Tibetan: རྟེན་གསུམ་), abolishing the monks, and the Dharma disappeared. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
