Regarding the rise of the 'Ma pa shin tu nye gyu' (Extremely Close Lineage): Forty-four years after the passing of the great Lama Sakya Pandita (Sa skya pa Zhi bar gshegs), when the venerable Rinpoche (Rje btsun rin po che) was fifty-six years old, in the retreat chamber of Gönkhang Monastery (mtshams kyi gtsang khang dgon pa) in Nyammo (Snyam mo), he dreamt that the great Lama appeared and gave him a smooth white eight-petaled lotus, with signs in the four directions, and the four corners marked with 'Ya' (ya, seed syllable, Tibetan: ཡ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: य, Sanskrit Romanization: ya, meaning: wind), 'Ra' (ra, seed syllable, Tibetan: ར་, Sanskrit Devanagari: र, Sanskrit Romanization: ra, meaning: fire), 'La' (la, seed syllable, Tibetan: ལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: ल, Sanskrit Romanization: la, meaning: earth), 'Va' (va, seed syllable, Tibetan: ཝ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: व, Sanskrit Romanization: va, meaning: water). The meaning was condensed into a verse: 'First, establish the Alaya Consciousness (kun gzhi) as the foundation; second, master the wind; inject the water of Bodhicitta (byang chub) into the central channel; subdue the elements such as earth.' Practice by condensing these key points. A brief account of the venerable Rinpoche's wondrous liberation: In India, he was proficient in the generation stage of Yamantaka (jigs byed), but lacked the completion stage and altruism. At the time of death, he was reborn as a malicious demon with nine heads, stacked with nine layers of tiles. This demon followed the Kashmiri Pandit (kha che paN chen) to Tibet. When no one could subdue it, the Pandit came to Sakya (sa skya), and the venerable one went to greet him with a stone bell. Knowing this, the Pandit suspended the stone bell in the air and expelled the demon. India could not contain it either, so it fled to China. Today, it is in China chasing after a large piece of turquoise. On another occasion, when the venerable one was meditating in the white meditation room, the Dharma Lord (chos rje pa) asked the Pandit: 'What is your uncle doing?' He replied: 'Meditating.' The Pandit said: 'Like us.' He replied: 'I went first.' The Pandit said: 'Let's go together.' The venerable one completed the self-generation visualization of Guhyasamaja (gsang ba 'dus pa), and as he was about to make offerings and praises to the front-generation deity, the Pandit arrived. Just as the venerable one was about to pick up the stone bell and place it on the table, the stone bell floated in the air. The Pandit said: 'Is there anything to be surprised about?' He replied: 'I did not expect it to happen.' The Pandit returned the greeting to the venerable one, and the junior Pandits said: 'He should not return the greeting to a layperson.' They had previously requested that he not return the greeting. 'Is there something wrong?' they asked. The Pandit said: 'He is actually an emanation of Mahavajra (ma hA badzra, Sanskrit Mahāvajra, the Great Vajra).' He was seen in the Guhyasamaja Mandala. On another occasion, the Pandit wrote in Sakya: 'There will be a solar eclipse at this time.' The venerable one said: 'Please do not say that, there will be no solar eclipse this time.' The junior Pandits looked displeased. But the solar eclipse did not occur as predicted. The Pandit said: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Knowing only that much. It is said that there was an arrogant old devotee in Stod Yagi. Then, Jepa said, 'The black Naga knows this. I am building a monastery, you must move your wealth elsewhere.' He searched everywhere and found a little space by the sea. He said he could not find another place to move it to. 'How long will it take to move it?' Jepa asked. He said, 'Even if you only move the gold, it will take a thousand years.' 'Then, you stay and find a place.' Jepa said, and Mon Dorje Raja led the way, Jepa chasing after him, which is now the Phong Rom Mewa of Labrang Shar. Then, the building now known as Uze Nyingma was built. Also, Jepa was staying in a place in the north, where there was a cave connected to the south, with a white hole in the middle. On the night of the fifteenth full moon, there were many Jigdirs (sounds) at the end of the valley. The attendant saw many horsemen coming. They came from somewhere to Jepa's bedroom. The attendant thought there was no place to hide, so he looked through the white hole. He saw many people speaking various languages he could not understand, clapping their hands, and an eight-year-old child wearing white clothes and turquoise coral was translating. They said that Jepa must set out for the benefit of beings. Jepa said, 'I am old and have no karmic connection, so I am of no help to you. My nephew Kunga Gyaltsen has a karmic connection with you, so I will send him.' and so on. Then, Jepa came out and asked, 'Is there any alcohol?' The attendant said, 'There is not much, only a bottle.' Jepa said, 'In any case, do not look. You do not look.' Jepa blessed the cup of alcohol, and everyone drank and got drunk, singing and dancing all night. The attendant saw that they were the Mongolian god Namthel and the Tibetan Tsen Thang Gyalpo. Namlu's head was adorned with various jewels, his head in Sakya, and his tail at the gate of China, in order to arrange the auspicious connection of wealth for the Sakya school, and so on. This is just a brief summary, for details, please refer to Chöje Pa's 'Dream Biography' and so on. In this way, the venerable Jetsun Rinpoche maintained the teachings of the oral transmission very well through teaching and practice. Countless outstanding disciples emerged, among whom, the main successor of the activities was Chöje Pa himself. Jepa himself compiled the Lamdre into a book, etc., which will be discussed later. In the south, there was Kar Shakya Drak, in the west, Nupa Rigzin Drak, in the north, Salawa Wangchuk Drak, and in the east, Pandita Shinje Drak, known as the 'Four Famous Ones'. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
