If it is the object of a universally nominal valid cognition, then it must be a self-characterised entity, it is said. Then, if it is the object of a universally nominal valid cognition, then it must be a self-characterised entity, this is not established. Therefore, if it is accepted, then, as the aggregates of appropriation, the selfless dharma, this is not established. Therefore, that reason is not established. Because it is the object of the subsequent cognition that infers the selflessness of the aggregates of appropriation. This is pervasive, because if it is a subsequent cognition, then it must be a universally nominal valid cognition. If that is the case, then it must be what brings forth the memory-consciousness that is its own result. Think carefully! Furthermore, Paṇ chen Dngos grub dpal 'bar says in the Rigs gter Ṭīka: 'The union of the four objects, measurable as two. In self-characterised entities, there is definite appearance and attachment, objects have two parts, self and general.' And, if abiding in the tenets of the Sutra school, whether examining or not, they acknowledge the object of apprehension as common. The consciousness of meaning, regarding external objects, definitely grasps or does not grasp separately. When not examining, the appearing object is considered common; when examining, the appearing object is not considered common, but as other meanings. Thus, it is acknowledged. Then, based on examination, listen to me! For the sense consciousness of the continuum of the donor seen from here, and the sense consciousness of the continuum of the donor, the appearing object of the two is common, this is not established. Because that form is the common appearing object of the two, because it is each. If it is not established, then, as a form, you must be the appearing object of the sense consciousness of the continuum of the donor seen from here. Because you are the appearing object of the sense consciousness of that continuum that arises with the aspect of form, because you are the clearly appearing object, because it is the valid cognition that measures in the way that it clearly appears to you. If it is not established, then, as that, you are not established. Because you are the direct valid cognition of form, because you are the valid cognition that takes that as its object of apprehension. There are many things to be examined here, which will be discussed below. Second, regarding one's own system, there are three parts to explain the nature of each of the classifications and summaries. The first part, in general, for the object, from the perspective of the subject, it is divided into four: generally speaking of non-conceptual consciousness, it is the appearing object; speaking only of the direct valid cognition of meaning, it is the object of apprehension; speaking of conceptualization that accords with meaning, it is the object of attachment; speaking of the cognizer of the object, it is the entering object. The second part is that if all these are summarized, they can be summarized into three: all clearly appearing objects are appearing objects; all unclearly appearing objects are objects of attachment. Relying on these two --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because from there, all actions of beings are included in the object of action. Moreover, from the perspective of the unadorned reality, it only includes its own characteristic, because the general characteristic is fabricated by concepts. The third aspect has four: the object of appearance has three aspects: nature, classification, and example. The first is: to be known through the way it clearly appears to non-conceptual wisdom. The second classification is: non-conceptual wisdom and the appearance of the noble ones. The third example is: all knowable things are objects of appearance, because they appear as clear direct perception. Object of entry, object of attachment, object of grasping. Secondly, the object of grasping has three aspects: nature, etc. The first aspect has two distinctions: substance and adjunct. The first is: the coarse outer sense base that generates the appearance of its own kind in the direct perception of its own result. The second aspect: the term 'own result' excludes things simultaneous with itself from being objects of grasping. The term 'generating the appearance of its own kind' excludes self-awareness, etc., from having objects of grasping, because self-awareness does not have the appearance of being distant like an external object. The term 'outer sense base' excludes the inner sense base. The term 'coarse' excludes atoms from being objects of grasping. The second classification is: the five objects of sense, such as form. The third example is: if something is generally an object of grasping, then it must be an outer sense base, and coarse among them. Because although the inner sense bases are coarse, they are not seen by the direct perception of the sense faculty. Atoms, because they are too scattered, cannot generate the appearance of their own kind in sense consciousness. Therefore, to understand these meanings, one needs to distinguish between subtle and coarse, and between inner and outer. The first is: generally, a particle has two types: coarse particle and subtle particle. The first, coarse particle, particle with special characteristics, aggregate particle, and particle with parts are synonymous, and the coarse one contains all ten form sense bases. The second, extremely subtle particle, substance extremely subtle particle, indivisible extremely subtle particle, directionless indivisible extremely subtle particle are synonymous, and among them, aggregate extremely subtle particle and substance extremely subtle particle, the former and the coarse one are synonymous. The second distinction between inner and outer is: the five sense faculties such as the eye are inner sense bases, and the five objects of sense such as form are outer sense bases. So, how are these ten sense bases classified as subtle and coarse? And into which of the ten sense bases does the substance extremely subtle particle fall? These are the tenets of schools that assert the true existence of external objects. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
