Because it must be 'what is made'. The pervasion is established for this consequence. You (what is made), if you are not, then the dharma must be (what is made). Because you are directly contradictory to that dharma. The pervasion is established for this consequence. If accepted, then with 'what is made' as the subject, it is established there. Because of that reason. The first reason is established there. Because you are the correct reason for establishing that sound is impermanent. The later reasons are all removed. If accepted, then that as the subject, you are not directly contradictory to permanence. Because you are indirectly contradictory to permanence, because you are the correct reason for establishing that sound is impermanent. If it does not pervade, then with 'what is made' as the subject, you are not the correct reason for establishing that sound is impermanent. Because you are mutually exclusive direct contradictions to permanence. The pervasion is established. As stated in the *Treasury of Reasoning*: 'For mutually exclusive direct contradictions, the reason and the subject do not exist.' Furthermore, with impermanence as the subject, you are able to negate permanence. Because you are mutually exclusive direct contradictions to permanence. The pervasion is real. If accepted, then with knowable as the subject, that impermanence, on sound is able to negate permanence. Because it is able to negate permanence, therefore it is not able to negate permanence on space. If accepted, then it is able to establish impermanence on sound. Because it is accepted. If accepted, then it is the correct reason for establishing that sound is impermanent. If accepted, then with impermanence as the subject, you are not the correct reason for establishing that sound is not permanent. Because your reason does not establish the homogeneity of sound being impermanent, because you are determined in sound, so there is no one who doubts whether sound is permanent or impermanent, because if it is a person who is determined in sound, then it is not a person who doubts whether sound is permanent or impermanent. Furthermore, heat touch becomes the producer of reducing the ability of cold touch, which is its own harm. Because it is harmful to it. If accepted, then it is the producer of making it incapable. Because it is accepted. If accepted, then it is its producer. Because of that reason. If accepted, then it is the helper who benefits it. It cannot be accepted, because it is harmful to it. Also, heat touch and cold touch, which is its own harm, are not contradictory to co-existence. Because it coexists with it, because it exists with it, because it meets with it, because it... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because of encountering the first moment, one must also consider the subtle reasoning called 'direct perception'. Thus, the way of perceiving objects with the mind is completely explained. Explanation of the Nature of Valid Cognition that has a function The second fundamental point is that, in order to ascertain the nature of valid cognition that has a function, it is divided into two parts: the classification of definitions and the determination of the meaning of each basis indicated by the definition. The first part is divided into three points: generally, the nature of the three—definition, the defined, and the basis; specifically, the definition of valid cognition; and the determination of the meaning indicated by the definition. The first point is divided into three parts: proving that knowable things are pervaded by three qualities; explaining the nature of the three pervasive qualities; and explaining the classification of each of the three qualities. The first point is: upon all knowable things, the three—definition, the defined, and the basis—exist completely. For example, upon a golden vase as the basis, the definition is complete in terms of its ability to perform the function of holding water; the defined is complete in terms of not being mistaken by the sound and mind of 'this is a vase'; the basis is complete in terms of the function of the bulging belly and serving as the basis for the term 'vase'. The second part is explaining the definition, explaining the defined, and explaining the basis. The first part includes: refuting that a definition does not need a definition; establishing the definition that is needed; and explaining the classification of faults to be removed. In the first point, some say: a definition does not need a definition because a definition is a real entity; and if it is needed, it will become endless. Some say: for a certain definition, a definition is not needed; but for a general definition, a definition is needed because the definition indicates the object. Some say: even for a certain definition, a definition is needed, for example, the name of a cow, although it is the definition of the second name of a cow, the gathering of Nog etc. is the definition of a cow. In response to these refutations, a definition needs a definition, but it will not become endless because the combination of the general and specific of the definition will eventually combine into the third, and after that, there is no need or ability to arrange a fourth. If it is not like this, endlessly admitting the definition of the definition of a vase, etc., is very unreasonable because, in the case where the reason for classification—the definition—is uncertain, is the result of classification—the defined object—certain? If it is possible, then there is no need to establish a definition in order to determine the defined object because the defined object is certain, and the definition does not necessarily need to be certain. If it is not possible, then the first definition of a vase cannot be determined because, in order to determine the definition of a vase, the definition --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
