If it is established, then it must be that it is the object of the conceptualization of those who hold to dharmas. If the basis is established, then it must be that it is the expressed object of the sound that expresses dharmas. The pot is also its expressed object, and the pillar is also its expressed object. If the first is not established, then, as the subject, the pot, you must be the expressed object of the sound that expresses dharmas, because you are the expressed object of the sound that expresses dharmas called 'the pot itself,' because the sound that expresses dharmas called 'the pot itself' expresses you. If it is not established, then it can be inferred that the sound that expresses dharmas called 'the pot itself' and the sound that expresses the subject called 'the pot' are the same in expressing the pot, because both express the same thing. It is said in the Pramāṇavārttika-vṛtti: 'Although the essence of the meaning is the same, two sounds are used due to the power of the desire to express.' It is also said in the Rigs gter: 'For the same essence of meaning, two sounds are combined due to the power of the desire to express.' Furthermore, the sound called 'the pot itself,' dharma, you must be its expressed object, because you are the sound that expresses dharmas. If you accept, then dharma, subject, you must be the expressed object of the sound called 'the pot itself,' because you are also the expressed object of the sound called 'the pillar itself,' because the sound called 'the pillar itself' is the sound that expresses you. If you say that, then this kind of inference and the root inference lack pervasiveness, and it must be understood as the key to the establishment of terminology. Furthermore, the sound called 'non-entity itself,' subject, you must be the sound that expresses entity, because you are the sound that expresses entity that is distinguished from the sound that expresses entity and the sound that expresses substance. If you say that, then this is not pervasive here. The reason is that you are the sound that expresses dharmas. If you accept the root, then the sound called 'non-entity' must be the sound that expresses entity. Furthermore, the sound called 'the impermanence of sound,' subject, you must be the sound that excludes other distinctions, because you are the sound that expresses dharmas. If you accept, then it must not be, because it is the sound that does not exclude other distinctions. Although it seems like it is pervasive, it is not actually pervasive, because depending on the different characteristics, there are cases where it both excludes and does not exclude distinctions. The root reason is that you are the sound that expresses the subject that is distinguished from the sound that expresses dharmas and the sound that expresses the subject. If it is not established, then it can be inferred that the impermanence of sound is the subject that wants to establish that the impermanence of sound is selfless. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thesis: 'The sound produced by 'I',' is a subject possessing the property. Reason: Because you are not a non-implicative negative exclusion term, but an implicative negative exclusion term. Establishment of the reason: Because you are a term that excludes 'not produced sound' and only indicates 'produced sound,' therefore it is a subject possessing the property. If the root (thesis) is accepted, then it is so. Reason: Because you are a non-implicative negative exclusion term that is directly combined with the object to be excluded. If it is said that the reason is accepted, then, although the three exclusions are definitely different when viewed from the characteristics and the basis of characteristics separately, in general, the three exclusions do not contradict each other. If it is a word of expression, then it is universally true that all three words of exclusion are included, because it is said that 'all words have the object to be excluded as their essence'. Also, regarding the statement 'sound is impermanent': It has both the ability to prove that sound is impermanent and the ability to negate that sound is permanent. Reason: Because 'even if one sound is spoken, it has two kinds of abilities, negation and proof'. If you accept, then it has the ability to prove that sound is impermanent. The reason is established. If you accept, then, regarding the statement 'sound is impermanent,' you do not have the ability to prove that sound is impermanent. Reason: Because you are a statement that only states 'sound is impermanent' without stating the proof that sound is impermanent. (If you say so), then it is not pervasive in the root. The knowable is like a vast and boundless realm of activity, the knower is like a jewel in the sky with a radiant halo, and the way of knowing is like the brilliance of blooming flowers in spring. This well-spoken ornament of generalities was composed by me. The object of knowledge, the mind of the knower, the way of understanding, the general and the specific, appearance and elimination, the meaning to be expressed, the word of expression, and the essence of understanding, this well-spoken generality was composed by Nagarjuna. Here, in the words of the great scholar Gowo Rapjampa: 'The actual object of expression is pervaded by the common characteristic, the other object of expression is pervaded by the self-characteristic, and the actual object of expression of the word of expression is pervaded by the common characteristic.' Although the view of the scriptures is consistent, please think a little. If it is a word of expression, then it is universally pervaded by the common characteristic. Reason: Because any of the three, name, word, and letter, is pervaded by the common characteristic. Accept the reason. If you accept, then the sound that has become the expression of attachment, the self-characterized, is so. The reason is established. If it is not established, then it is so. Reason: You are an expression, and you are a sound. The first reason is established. Reason: Because you are an expression of attachment, therefore it is a subject possessing the property. It cannot be accepted, because you are a self-characterized sound. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
