If the probandum is not established, then, such a subject, the person who is the result of your proximate cause, should be a person who has generated an inference with the sign of 'sound is impermanent', because you are a pure opponent of that aspect who remembers the three modes of that aspect. If the latter is not established, then, such a person who has a common basis should be a person who has generated an inference with the sign of 'sound is impermanent'. Furthermore, a pure opponent who establishes the impermanence of sound with the sign of being produced, who has not generated the memory of remembering the three modes of establishing the impermanence of sound with the sign of being produced, should be a wise pure opponent of that aspect, because you are a pure opponent of that aspect and you are not a foolish pure opponent of that aspect. If you accept, then you should be a very wise pure opponent of that aspect, because you are not a slightly wise pure opponent of that aspect. If you accept, then you should be a person who remembers the three modes of that aspect, because you accept. If you accept, then a person who has not generated the memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect is also a person who remembers the three modes of that aspect, therefore there should be a common basis, because the pure opponent of that aspect who has not generated the memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect is a person who remembers the three modes of that aspect. If you accept, then it is also so. It is also a person who has generated the memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect, therefore there should be a common basis, because it is also so. If you say there is a common basis for a person who remembers the three modes of that aspect, then there is no pervasion here, that is the key. It is impossible to accept. If you say there is no pervasion for the statement that it is also so, there should be a common basis for a person who remembers the three modes of that aspect, then in that refutation there should be: it is also a person who has not generated the memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect, it is also a person who has a continuum of memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect, therefore there is a common basis, because it is also a person who has ceased the memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect, it is also a person who has a continuum of memory of remembering the three modes of that aspect, therefore there is a common basis, because it is also a person who has ceased the manifest sense power of grasping form, it is also a person who has that continuum, therefore there is a common basis, because the person who has just generated the second moment of the manifest sense power of grasping form is that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If so, then give a contrary reason. Also, the above-mentioned clear example applies as well. Because there is such a case: for the result of the memory-consciousness that remembers those three ways, the person who has just generated that wisdom is also like that. Because there is such a common basis: the person who possesses the continuum of memory-consciousness that remembers those three ways is also like that. If the second fundamental reason, that the pure opponent regarding that aspect is slightly not intelligent, is not established, then, as the subject, you will become someone who remembers any one of those three ways, but does not remember any of those three ways. If you accept this, then it is not correct. Because you are someone who remembers all three ways of that aspect. Because you are someone who remembers the property of that aspect (i.e., the subject), and you are someone who remembers both the pervasion and the clarity of that aspect. If, according to our own system, one becomes a pure opponent establishing that sound is impermanent, then one must necessarily comprehend those three ways. Comprehension does not pervade remembering. The essence of this statement is: the pure opponent regarding that aspect has only two moments. The first moment of the pure opponent regarding that aspect, and the pure opponent regarding that aspect who does not remember those three ways, and the basis of the debater who, having ascertained the three ways for the sake of others regarding that aspect, affirms sound as permanent with a belief in reality, any person who has just become a pure opponent regarding that aspect, these two are the same. That is the second moment, and the pure opponent regarding that aspect who is a fool's basis, the pure opponent regarding that aspect who has become very intelligent, and the pure opponent regarding that aspect who is a slightly intelligent basis, the pure opponent regarding that aspect who has become very intelligent, these two are the same. Therefore, if the pure opponent regarding that aspect is a fool, then the pure opponent regarding that aspect is necessarily the first moment, although for that fool, there is no distinction of earlier and later moments. Similarly, if the pure opponent regarding that aspect is slightly intelligent, then the pure opponent regarding that aspect is necessarily the first moment, although for the pure opponent regarding that aspect who is slightly intelligent, there is no distinction of earlier and later moments. If the pure opponent regarding that aspect is very intelligent, then the pure opponent regarding that aspect is necessarily the second moment, although for the very intelligent one, there are absolutely no many distinctions of earlier and later moments. The key to that is the ascertainment of the three ways. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
