Because it must be admitted that there are three situations: the knower, the knowable, and the place of knowing. Therefore, those with capacity should pay great attention to these words that I have spoken well, because I have seen some who, even if they have a little knowledge, if they are not impartial, will steal these views to show off themselves. Thus, of the four aspects of his prior argument, if one is severely damaged, it becomes a logical error, which has been refuted by reasons such as 'to refute the merits of the questioner'. 'If the vows become errors,' this has been refuted by the two sentences 'if there is not, it will not happen,' etc. If 'because the treatise is acknowledged,' this prior argument has also been refuted by 'inference is the way of one's own behavior,' etc. Therefore, preventing the prior argument of 'accepting everything' is: 2-251 The meaning of the scripture is too relevant to what is to be proven, which has two situations: refuting through the wording of the vow, and refuting by what is to be proven being too relevant. The first situation is: this view that treatises must be taken as the standard of proof in all actions, who is this foolish person who proposed it? It is unreasonable to do so, because there is no tenet, even foolish people who have not entered a tenet will not understand that where there is smoke, there must be fire from the sign of smoke. Moreover, people are born independently from the very beginning, unrelated to scriptures, and most people do not see merit in accepting scriptures, nor do they see fault in not accepting scriptures, because they do not see it. Explaining: 'Who proposed this view that treatises must be accepted in all actions? Now, those without tenets will not understand fire from smoke. People are born independently, not seeing merit and fault.' Therefore, Samkhya, your tenet is like an inexhaustible demon, because unwillingly following is a bad tenet. This kind of demon, it should be investigated, alas, Samkhya, who possessed you later? Because there is no demon of following that is innate, thus, demeaning through the wording of the vow, explaining as: 'The tenet is an inexhaustible demon, alas, who possessed it?' The second situation is: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Refuting overly broad proofs: Directly refuting arguments that are too broad, and sequentially refuting answers that avoid errors. Firstly: If a Samkhya (数论) proponent says: The opponent, a Vaisheshika (胜论派), having accepted the Vaisheshika Sutra (胜论经), and upon presenting the reasoning 'Sound is a property, it is impermanent, because it is produced,' must accept that all the statements in that Sutra regarding the characteristics of sound are relevant to the argument, because using 'produced' as the reason to prove that sound is impermanent implies that whatever is produced necessarily possesses all the characteristics of sound described in that Sutra, just as impermanence does. If this pervasion is shown in a similar example, then the proof becomes valid. If all the scriptures in the example can serve as a basis for an argument, then the presented argument becomes effective. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the opponent's intention, otherwise, even if reasoning is presented, it will only appear ostentatious. Therefore, the Samkhya (数论) proponent generally believes that if a statement is from a scripture, then it is necessarily the basis for a relevant argument. Specifically, if a statement is from the Vaisheshika Sutra (胜论经), then it is necessarily the basis for a relevant argument. However, when the Vaisheshika (胜论派) accepts the Vaisheshika Sutra (胜论经) and presents 'produced' as the reason for proving that sound is impermanent, they believe that all the statements in that Sutra regarding the characteristics of sound must serve as the basis for the argument. Secondly, directly refuting arguments that are too broad: Knowable (dharma) has the characteristic that the philosophical system holding this view is transcendental, because it is extremely contradictory to both internal and external schools. Because when the Vaisheshika (胜论派) presents the reasoning 'Sound is a property, it is impermanent, because it is produced,' they must accept both 'Whatever is produced is impermanent' and 'Whatever is produced is permanent.' The latter is not established, because if it is accepted that 'Whatever is produced possesses the characteristics of sound described in the Vaisheshika Sutra (胜论经),' then the eternal space (藏文:ནམ་མཁའ།,梵文天城体:आकाश,梵文罗马拟音:ākāśa,汉语字面意思:虚空) is also described in that Sutra as a characteristic of sound. Explaining that these reasons are real, but this is a transcendental logic. Also, 'produced' has the characteristic that you cannot prove that sound is permanent, therefore, the permanence of sound... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
