If it exists, in order to cut it off, it is pointed out next to the characteristic of the subject itself, saying 'self-nature' and 'only' these two words are spoken in order to have meaning. If you summarize the essence, in order to cut off the established dharma as the object to be proven, it is not necessary to say the word 'self', because saying 'self-nature' next to it can cut it off. The explanation for this is: 'Pointing out one's own self-nature', this very sentence can understand it. If there is a case of pointing out in the nature of the established and the establishing, then the statement 'pointing out the object to be proven itself' becomes meaningful.' Then, if only saying 'one's own self-nature' can understand that meaning, why add 'pointing out one's own self-nature', and 'only' as an assistant? Think like this: Even if the word 'self-nature' can eliminate different categories such as the established dharma being the object to be proven, in order to eliminate the wrong view of 'is the established dharma the object to be proven?', and in order to eliminate the unestablished examples and signs that are being used as the establisher, 'is it the real object to be proven?' In order to eliminate such wrong views, it is necessary to have the word 'only' related to self-nature, which is the key. For example, even if the wrong view of 'is it the real object to be proven?' can be eliminated by intention when the examples and signs that are being used as the establisher are unestablished, it is necessary to have the word 'only' to eliminate such wrong views, which is the same as the dharma. Otherwise, even if you spend countless kalpas searching for the meaning of that treatise, you will not be able to find it. Fourth, the view that the word 'self' is spoken to negate that the dharma is the object to be proven is divided into two parts: the main text and the meaning derived from it. The first part: Some scholars say that this does not pervade the root, because in order to cut off the unestablished dharma, its own characteristic is the separate object to be proven, so the word 'self' is spoken. If you say this, then when explaining the characteristics of the subject, for the knowable dharma, even if you don't say the word 'self', in order to cut off the unestablished dharma, its own characteristic is the separate real object to be proven, there will be no contradiction of pervading too much. Because the subsequent inference is explained as being the object of the collection in both the separate dharma and the collection, so in order to eliminate the case where the separate dharma is the object to be proven. Moreover, since the inference is explained as being the object of the general characteristic in both the self-characteristic and the general characteristic, it also eliminates the case where the self-characteristic is the object to be proven. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thus it is explained, by what kind of inference is it said to be the nature of the subject? Although it is not explicitly stated here, there is no contradiction in reasoning. Thus it is. Then, is inference limited only to the object of the general characteristic, or only to the object of the collective generality? This requires differentiation, and it is necessary to clearly distinguish between the two ways of explaining and entering, and the two ways of presumption and verification, before discussing it. Second, explaining the meaning of the digression, which includes the posing of questions arising from the digression, the explanation of the errors in the mark and the errors in the thesis in the question and answer, and the explanation of the method of eliminating the object to be eliminated. First, 'By what kind of inference,' etc., in terms of this digression, although the separate dharma is not the probandum, if the separate dharma is taken as the probandum, what fault will arise? It needs to be written in this way, because it is to eliminate the great confusion that you commentators of the sutras do not understand. To this, someone might say that if the separate dharma is taken as the probandum, there will be a fault, because doing so will make it impossible for the mark to establish it. If asked why it cannot be established, it is because if the unestablished separate dharma is taken as the probandum, then at this time the pervasion of the mark is not established, and there is a fault that the mark and the similar instance do not follow along. For such questions and answers, the scripture states: 'If the dharma is the probandum, what fault is there, it cannot be established, why the mark has no concomitance.' Thus it is. Second, explaining the errors in the mark and the errors in the thesis in the question and answer, including explaining the errors in the mark from the perspective of the answer, and explaining the errors in the thesis from the perspective of the answer. First, regarding the non-establishment of the pervasion of that syllogism, and the fact that the mark does not follow along with the example, this dharma, you are not the object to be eliminated of the pervasion of that syllogism, because are you not the fault of the mark of that syllogism? Because it is. This is pervasive. Because in the previous debate between the two sides, among the outer and inner branches, the outer branch is dependent on the faults of the mark, and is the object to be eliminated of the definition of the correct mark, and is not considered to be the fault of the pervasion. The scripture states: 'This is not the fault of those, dependent on the outer branch, not the fault of the pervasion.' Thus it is. Then, what are the outer and inner branches mentioned here? I will explain this, the probandum and the probandum at this time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
