It is explained that there are two (excluding the separation result), four (excluding the corresponding result), and three (excluding the maturation result and the corresponding result). 1-944 The verse says: 'Through what is abandoned by meditation, those two, four, and three.' Furthermore, the non-abandoned result of uncontaminated karma, namely, one abandoned by seeing, two abandoned by meditation, and four non-abandoned, are respectively: only the puruṣakāra result, only the adhipati result and the puruṣakāra result, and the four complete results excluding the maturation result, it is explained: 'Those non-abandoned, one, two, and four in order.' Then, how does the meditation-abandoned, which becomes the adhipati result of the uncontaminated path, exist? Because as soon as one rises from the uncontaminated meditation path, wholesome contaminated dharmas arise. Then, is there also a meditation-abandoned that becomes the adhipati result of the seeing-abandoned? It is not the same, because after the seeing path, only the sixteenth moment, the subsequent knowledge of the path, arises. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: 'The adhipati result is the wholesome dharmas abandoned by meditation that arise from the uncontaminated path.' Therefore, although it is necessary to explain these reasons in detail, I am afraid because of the abundance of content. However, to exemplify with learners and non-learners, here the learners and non-learners in question refer to the uncontaminated learner path and the non-learner path. 1-945 The point that the result of the non-learner's karma is the learner is only the puruṣakāra result. The uncontaminated learner path, which becomes the corresponding result of the non-learner's karma, does not exist, because the inferior and the equal must act as the corresponding cause for the superior and the equal, but the non-learner path is superior to the learner path. The learner path, which becomes its adhipati result, also does not exist, because the learner path does not arise simultaneously with or immediately after the non-learner path. Then, when one falls from the non-learner path, does the learner path not arise? Even at that time, the learner path does not arise immediately after the non-learner path, because the two are separated by afflictions. The learner, which is transformed into the maturation result and the separation result of the non-learner path, also does not exist, because the reason is easy to understand. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: 'The result of the non-learner's karma is the learner, only the puruṣakāra result. If it is inferior, then there is no corresponding result, not for the equal or the superior.' Because it does not arise simultaneously or immediately after, the adhipati result also does not exist. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, at the final stage of the no-more-learning path, the learning path does not arise, because when completely degenerated, afflictions will universally arise, causing obstruction. This is the explanation. The following explains the distinctions of immediate condition of similarity. (Fourth part) Explaining the distinctions of immediate condition of similarity, divided into three parts: dividing into twelve types of minds, dividing into twenty types of minds, and explaining the differences in the way of obtaining. First part: Generally speaking, if the mind that acts as the immediate condition of similarity and the mind that is the result of the condition are divided, they can be divided into twelve types. That is, two types of minds included in the desire realm: wholesome and unwholesome minds; two types of minds: obscured and unobscured, totaling four types. In the two higher realms, the form realm and the formless realm, there are three types of minds each, excluding unwholesome minds. Two types of minds: the wholesome mind with outflows of the learning path and the wholesome mind without outflows of the no-more-learning path, totaling twelve types of minds, because they can be remembered. The explanation for this is as follows: 'Desire realm remembers wholesome and unwholesome, obscured and unobscured, form realm and formless realm, and the two types of minds without outflows other than unwholesome.' For these twelve types of minds, it is necessary to understand the distinctions of six or eight times in order to analyze which mind will arise after which mind. These six times are: constant time, same-ground time, emerging from meditative absorption time, entering meditative absorption time, rebirth time, and the time when disturbed by afflictions in meditative absorption. Entering transformation refers to emerging from meditative absorption, and emerging from transformation refers to entering meditative absorption, so the latter two situations are also included in the former six situations. However, if the two times of entering transformation and emerging from transformation are added, they are divided into eight times. Constant time refers to the time when wholesome, unwholesome, and neutral states continuously arise, such as wholesome mind arising after wholesome mind, etc. Entering meditative absorption refers to the time of entering the state of meditative absorption with outflows or without outflows, such as from the wholesome mind of cultivation origin in the lower realm, the wholesome mind of cultivation origin and the two types of minds without outflows of the upper two realms can arise. Same-ground time refers to the situation where the ground, etc., are the same, such as in the desire realm, in the same-ground time, the unwholesome mind of the desire realm, etc., can arise after the wholesome mind of the desire realm. Emerging from meditative absorption refers to the time of emerging from that meditative absorption, such as when emerging from the meditative absorption of the upper realm and the state without outflows, the wholesome mind of the desire realm of innate origin and cultivation origin can arise, or only the wholesome mind of cultivation origin of the upper realm can arise. The time of entering transformation refers to emerging from meditative absorption and then manifesting a transformation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
