are the path of abandonment and the truth of cessation of abandonment, becoming two. The Dharma of scripture is the perfect expression that leads to the Dharma of realization, which is the nature of both name and expression. Alternatively, the Dharma of realization is the three higher trainings, and the three baskets that explain them are established as the Dharma of scripture. Secondly, the nature of the well-spoken words of the Dharma of scripture is that which explains the three trainings, the expression is the immaculate words, the proof is that it possesses the three valid cognitions, and the result is that it is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end. As Maitreya said: "The three trainings are expressed in immaculate words, possessing the three valid cognitions, virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end. This is the greatly spoken word of the Victorious One, the opposite should be known as the doctrine of others." Furthermore, as it says in the Uttaratantra: "Whatever is meaningful, closely related to the Dharma, a speech that abandons afflictions from all three realms, and shows the benefit of peace, that is the speech of a sage, the opposite is other." This means that what is expressed is closely related to the meaningful Dharma, the function is to become a method for abandoning the afflictions of the three realms, the result is that it inclines and flows towards the direction of the quiescence of nirvana, and the main cause is that it arises from relying on the perfectly complete Buddha, possessing four characteristics is the nature of the Word. The explanatory treatises are, as it says in the Uttaratantra: "Whatever teachings of the Victorious One are extremely clear, spoken by a wise person without any distractions, and in accordance with the path of liberation, that too is accepted with reverence like the words of a sage." This means directly and indirectly, in the manner of explaining the intention of the Buddha's scriptures, the words spoken by an author with intelligence free from distractions such as wrong views and doubts, are in accordance with the path to obtaining liberation. Furthermore, in the Samdhinirmocana Sutra it says: "Meaningless, inverted meaning, and meaningful, not delighting in hearing disputes, diligently practicing, without compassion, deceitful, devoid of loving-kindness, abandoning suffering, six kinds of treatises abandon the first three." This means that the first two of the three sets are abandoned, and that which corresponds to the last one is. In the Pramanavarttika it says: "That which completely subdues all the enemies of afflictions, and that which saves from the state of evil destinies, the qualities of taming and protecting"

In short, a treatise is, as it is said, "These two are not found in other schools," possessing the qualities of taming and protecting, is the nature of a treatise. Third, the meaning of the words is: Sanskrit (saṃdharma) "Dharma," meaning "excellent Dharma," excellent refers to the perfectly enlightened Buddha, and Dharma refers to what he taught; or excellent refers to the great Bodhi, and the method to obtain it is Dharma, that is, the excellent Dharma. In terms of treatises, excellent refers to the sons of the Buddha who have the causes and conditions to create treatises, and Dharma refers to the good explanations that explain the meaning of the Buddha's words. The expresser is determined to be both the Buddha's words and the treatises, as it is said in the Sutra Requested by the Son of God, Blo-gros Rab-gnas: "All dharmas are gathered into the Buddha's words and treatises, good sayings and explanations of their meaning." That is, Sanskrit (subhāṣita) "Subhashita," meaning good saying or wonderful saying, refers to the complete and non-inverted teaching of the three bases, paths, and results, or what is said and what can be said. Fourth, detailed distinction, there are the main text and the extended meaning. First, distinguishing from the perspective of what is expressed, as it is said in the Root Wisdom: "The Dharma taught by the Buddhas, all rely on the two truths," that is, the two truths, or the ultimate truth and the conventional truth. Distinguishing from the perspective of the expresser, there are twelve parts of scriptures, as it is said in the Great Commentary Essence Top: "Sutras, verses, and prophecies, recitation, self-speaking, and events, Jataka, wonderful and metaphors, extensive explanation, Vaipulya and Abhidhamma, are the twelve parts of scriptures." Distinguishing from the perspective of antidotes, as Maitreya Bodhisattva said: "The teachings are divided into three or two, because of the summary, it is said that there are nine causes, thereby realizing and pacifying, and fully realizing and attaining good liberation." That is, for the afflictions to be abandoned, doubt, attachment to the two extremes, and holding views as supreme, the antidotes for these three are the wisdom of discipline, meditation, and Dharma discrimination. By showing the eighteen realms to be known and the pure Dharma, as well as the methods of taming afflictions, and knowing and teaching Dharma and meaning without inversion, they correspond to the Sutra Pitaka, Vinaya Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka in order.
