The scripture says, "The son of Mon, with hair as clothing, will be born at the foot of the mountain where the Garuda dances." Although some treasure revealers, such as Rangling, have claimed this prophecy for themselves, it is a common prophecy and does not necessarily refer to only one person. Here, it refers to those born in the peripheral regions centered around Ü-Tsang, who can all be called sons of Mon. Although many people braid their hair, those with naturally occurring hair like clothing, and the names of the mountains where they are born, have been very clearly indicated. When Nyensar Khyentse was born, his umbilical cord was wrapped like a Dharma robe. The physician Rinchenbe said, "Examining the way this umbilical cord is wrapped, a Geshe who will benefit the Dharma will surely appear. The scriptures say, 'Such a person is easy to raise, does not harm others, and brings auspiciousness.' Therefore, even if he stays at home, he will be different from others." As the prophecy indicated, it later turned out to be so. Kusha grass is a purifying and virtuous grass, widely known in the Buddhist scriptures and common treatises, symbolizing that the mind is not tainted by the obscurations of karma and defilements of the womb. Thereafter, services were provided in accordance with local customs, and he was gradually raised. His father gave him the name Tsering Dondrup. From the time he could remember, he saw that the six-armed Wisdom Protector Mahakala and the Dharma protector Ekajati were very lovingly protecting him, and he vaguely remembered many past lives. Once, he got up from his bedroom and went to wash his hands in the back. On the right side, on the hillside of Mount Wangchu, on the white rock called "Karzang Drak," he saw a very clear image of Guru Rinpoche appearing, which he saw regularly. At that time, he wondered when such a thing had appeared on the rock face. Later, upon investigation, it was said that a special statue was buried in that rock. Khenchen Jampa Kunga Tenzin was appointed as the abbot of Sakya Dzongsar Dege, and when he went to Terlung, he was invited to Dilgo. It is said that this Rinpoche, at the age of three, first met him in his mother's arms and heard the empowerment of the nine deities of Ushnishavijaya, which became an auspicious connection for him to become a Dharma son.
