Following the footsteps of the brave sons, until the essence of Bodhicitta is attained. May the venerable Guru cherish me in all lifetimes, inseparable, residing as an ornament on my crown, bestowing the blessings of the three secrets. Always accomplishing deeds that please the Guru, never giving rise to even a moment of displeasure or wrong views, obtaining the treasury of speech, receiving the essence of mind, may all liberating activities be completely accomplished. From the great clouds of perfect blessings, may a constant rain of benefit and happiness, jewels, descend, so that all wishes are fulfilled as desired in this life and beyond. May the all-pervading Guru protect with auspiciousness! Thus, this is a brief mention of the seed of the biography of Kunga Tenpai Gyaltsen Pal Sangpo, the incomparable teacher of kindness to beings in the three realms, the all-knowing and all-seeing Manjushri, the powerful one of wisdom and love. Requested by the nephew with outstanding wisdom, Gelek, and blessed by Subhaga Vajra, who possesses a rich lineage, may it be auspicious. And by Jamyang Legpai Lodro, the master of the five sciences, who possesses the support of the Mandala of the Essence of the Earth, also urged with solemn words. Thus, especially protected by the great kindness of the Guru himself, and by Kusali Lodro Thaye De, who sincerely respects the non-sectarian teachings, based on the root texts of the outer, inner, and secret biographies, and the list of the outer biography personally bestowed by the Guru Rinpoche himself, a brief compilation of the writings of the hearing records and the accomplishment of the post-mortem offerings, and the notes taken from the pure appearances personally heard, etc., were collected and compiled. Because of old age and shallow knowledge, although there is no eloquence to please the wise, the content is free from exaggeration and without the disturbance of errors, so I pray that the wise scholars of the Guru's teachings will rely on this and clearly and extensively elaborate with perfect words. To extend the Victorious One's teachings to the end of time, from prayers and vows awakened in time, bestowing the supreme benefit and happiness without bias, I bow to the venerable lama, the treasure of compassion. For me, who narrates his biography as it is, only the great Lord of Speech is suitable, opening the treasure of the ocean of qualities, this nectar of speech is the nourishment for the minds of the fortunate. Knowing this, for the sake of opening the great door of liberation to the faithful, the miracle of printing is bestowed. May the auspiciousness of giving increase in all lifetimes, and may a great country be built with the virtuous deeds of the four assemblies. By the merit of proclaiming the lama's qualities, with the glory of never creating great non-virtue, may the faithful, led by the patrons, and all those connected, surely live well with goodness.
