During these times, this Je Lama, like male metal elements in a silver mine that are unmixed with impurities, was never tainted by the gaze of evil. From a young age, he relied on authentic gurus and possessed the innate liberation of seeking the true Dharma in accordance with the Dharma. Therefore, he visited all the sacred sites from Ü-Tsang to Lho Mön (Bhutan), and when he went to listen to the Dharma from the virtuous spiritual guides, only the attendant Dampa Tsultrim Gyatso and the master and disciple traveled everywhere as hermits. Sometimes, even without shoes, they walked barefoot, enduring unspeakable hardships, and thoroughly performed prostrations, offerings, tsok gatherings, and prayers to all the sacred sites. To the lamas, even if the offerings were not large, they always offered whatever clean gifts they could afford, and without considering whether food was sufficient or the length of time, they listened to all the Dharma and pith instructions until their hearts were content. Later, even without special intention, when wealth arose effortlessly and spontaneously, they would offer a clean mandala every day, and when empowerments and Dharma were obtained, they would combine it with longevity prayers and offer a large and excellent gift. In short, everything he did was entirely in accordance with the Dharma actions described in the sutras and tantras. As it says in the "Treasury of Precious Qualities": "A guru who is flawless and perfect in qualities is like a real Buddha in this degenerate age. With utmost purity and reverence, hold him on the crown of your head." Therefore, he relied on the three-qualified Vajra holders in the same way. As it says in the "Essence of Earth Sutra": "Listen to the Dharma with one-pointed faith and reverence. Do not revile or slander this. One should make offerings to the speaker of the Dharma, and generate the perception of him as a Buddha." As the sutra says, he showed the same respect to all spiritual friends who spoke the Dharma. As it says in the "Dense Array Sutra": "Manjushri, where does the speaker of the Dharma reside? If one sees him, one will purify the five heinous crimes. One should also make offerings to the speaker of the Dharma, and even if the speaker of the Dharma commits the five heinous crimes, one should not be disturbed in mind." He kept these words in mind, and even to those who seemed ordinary, he respectfully listened to even a single pith instruction, and he placed all the types of Dharma he heard on his right.

Without holding back in the slightest, he copied scriptures, drew mandalas of all the old and new tantras, made tsakalis of treasures and other things, and for all the empowerment implements and offerings, he gave away whatever possessions he had without any reservation. He built everything that was worthy of being an example for others, and wholeheartedly engaged only in activities that pleased the lamas and benefited the teachings, thereby naturally perfecting the qualities of the stages and paths. Just as surplus grain naturally arises in a good harvest year, all temporary glory and wealth also increased year by year. As Yeshe Gyatso said, "Whoever is a fortunate and wise person for the work of the lama, this is more meaningful than prostrating to all the Buddhas of the three times for six million kalpas. If one practices as the lama instructs, all wishes will be fulfilled, and immeasurable merit will be obtained. Whoever pleases the lama with their own possessions and implements, this person will rest in the nirmanakaya pure land from the three realms of samsara and go to the place of nirvana." This statement became a reality. All those things that he heard were not just empty names, but the different ways of explaining each philosophical system, the demarcation of view and meditation, the profound essence of the generation and completion stages, and even the subtle practices of rituals and instructions, he clearly knew and practiced according to their respective traditions without mixing them up. These are also as it is said, "The holy do not make many promises, but if they make a promise because of difficulty, it is like drawing on a stone, and even if they die, they will not change it." And, "Fools are like drawings on water, whatever they do quickly disappears; the wise are like carvings on stone, even the very subtle remains firm." Likewise, in his youth, he cultivated disciples by teaching and transmitting the meaning of what he had heard, contemplated, and meditated on in the fields of knowledge and sutras and tantras. Later, he printed the root texts and most of the commentaries, opening the inexhaustible gate of Dharma giving. He also explained the sutras and tantras in detail when the vessels were suitable and the time was right. Primarily, he continuously practiced the profound generation and completion stages of secret mantra. At the age of twenty-four, in the Water Rabbit year, Khen Rinpoche Jamyangwa...
