Though without the labor of thought and effort, you display endless manifestations of your body to those who need taming. Appearing in the form of a virtuous spiritual friend, I pray to you, Vajradhara. The five victorious ones are spontaneously accomplished from the beginning. They perform the welfare of beings by appearing as the five aggregates in the perception of others. You liberate all beings to be tamed through the form of the aggregates. I pray to you, the supreme aggregate. The Tathagata of primordial Dharma-nature, the hero and heroine, the warriors and dakinis, tame through the four elements and powers, appearing in those respective forms. I pray to you. From the wisdom of the nature of all, free from elaboration, there is what is called the Dharma-body, all-pervading space, there is no other. That itself is the mind of your kind Dharma Lord. I pray to you, Vajradhara. The ultimate three realms are self-arisen from the beginning, appearing everywhere in the three realms in the perception of those to be tamed. Not without purpose, you always bring benefit and happiness. I pray to you, whose activities are spontaneously accomplished. You, Lama, are the nature of all that is stable and moving. You are the actual embodiment of all Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. You dwell in the heart of all beings. Please bless me to realize this directly. Fourth, the practice of calming the mind, taking into account both the Greater and Lesser Vehicles: Like a star, a haze, a lamp, an illusion, a dewdrop, a bubble, a dream, lightning, and a cloud, view all conditioned things in this way. All things arise from causes. The Tathagata has spoken of these causes. The Great Ascetic has spoken of the cessation of these causes. Do no evil, cultivate virtue, and tame your mind. This is the teaching of the Buddhas. Good is the discipline of the body, good is the discipline of speech, good is the discipline of the mind, good is discipline in all things. The monk who protects all will surely be liberated from all suffering. Fifth, taking the vows of aspiration and engagement to Bodhicitta: All Buddhas, Bhagavad-s, abiding in the ten directions, all great Bodhisattvas abiding on the ten grounds, and all great Vajradhara Lamas, please pay attention to me. I, named so-and-so, until I reach the essence of enlightenment, take refuge in the Buddhas, the Dharma, and

I also take refuge in the assembly of Bodhisattvas, like that. Repeat three times. Just as the Sugatas of the past generated the mind of Bodhi, and just as they abide in the training of the Bodhisattvas in that order, Likewise, for the benefit of beings, I will generate the mind of Bodhi, and likewise, I will train in the training in that order. Repeat three times. If you wish to elaborate now, this is the Dharani of Perfect Purity of Discipline that comes from the Sutra of the Amoghapasha. I prostrate to all the Tathagatas! I prostrate to the noble Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva! om amogha śīla, saṃbhara saṃbhara, bhara bhara, mahā śuddha sattva, padma vibhūṣite bhuja, dhara dhara, samanta avalokite hūṃ phaṭ svāhā! Whoever remembers this dharani every day, all faults of discipline will be purified, and henceforth until enlightenment, discipline will be perfectly pure. Then, make the aspiration: May the minds of all beings, including myself, be completely filled with the Dharma of the Perfection of Discipline! May all sins and obscurations arising from the violation of discipline by afflictions be purified! May I be endowed with the share of discipline that pleases the noble ones! May I not be deceived by afflictions, but abide in the bliss of liberation! By the law, may the discipline be without fault, etc. May the Perfection of Discipline be fulfilled! May I follow all the Victorious Ones, etc. May I always practice without decline and without fault! Thus it is said. My life has fruit, I have well obtained the state of man. Today I am born into the Buddha's lineage, today I have become a son of the Buddha. Now I will strive to do deeds that are in accordance with my lineage. I will not defile this stainless monastic lineage, I will act in that way. Today, in the presence of all the protectors, I have invited all beings and the Sugatas, and the intermediate happiness, as guests, may the gods and demigods and others rejoice. May the jewel of the Bodhi mind, those who have not been born, be born, and those who have been born, may it not decline, but increase more and more! Bodhi mind and
