以及《菩萨行示现经》中说：如果菩萨在数百万劫中不善于方便而修持六度，不如听闻这个具有疑惑的法类所获得的福德大。等等，在各个经续中都说各自书写、读诵、讲解等的利益是无量的。略微举例说明，在《摄颂》中也说：有些人对如来完全涅槃的，用七宝建造佛塔并供养，如来佛塔的数量如恒河沙数，充满千万个世界，完全观察执持无边世界，所有安住的众生，不做其他事情，用天上的鲜花、上妙的熏香和涂香，在三世劫或更长的时间里供养。谁从能生出如来十力者的，如来之母书写在书本上，执持并用鲜花涂香来尊敬，那么建造佛塔供养的福德也无法比拟。还有，有些人对恒河沙数的世界里，所有安住的众生都调伏成阿罗汉，谁书写这部般若波罗蜜多，并将书本给予殊胜的众生，那么他的福德更为殊胜。为什么呢？因为殊胜的导师们在这里学习后，在这里宣说一切法皆是空性。听闻此法，声闻能迅速证得解脱，能证得独觉菩提和佛陀菩提。这样说过。同样，仅仅听闻、讲解和受持哪怕只是一种甚深法的法门，其利益也无法穷尽。如《慧海请问经》中说：用黄金充满这个大千世界，以此供养如来，不如听闻此法藏，所获得的信解福德更为殊胜。谁用价值万千的世界充满珍宝，以此供养如来，不如谁对这部经进行修习，

And, in the Sutra Showing the Conduct of a Bodhisattva, it says: If a bodhisattva practices the six perfections for hundreds of thousands of kalpas without being skilled in means, it is better to hear this category of Dharma with doubt, as the merit is greater. And so on, in various sutras and tantras, it is said that the benefits of writing, reading, explaining, etc., are immeasurable. To illustrate just a little, in the Condensed Verses, it also says: Some people make offerings to the Tathagata who has completely passed into nirvana, building stupas made of the seven precious substances. The number of Tathagata stupas is like the sands of the Ganges, filling thousands of millions of worlds. Completely observing and holding these infinite worlds, all the sentient beings dwelling there, doing nothing else, offer heavenly flowers, excellent incense, and perfume for three kalpas or even longer. Whoever writes the mother of the Sugata, from whom the ten powers of the Sugata arise, on a book, and cherishes and honors it with flowers and perfume, the merit of making offerings to stupas cannot compare. Furthermore, some people, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, subdue all the sentient beings dwelling there into arhats. Whoever writes this Prajnaparamita and gives the book to excellent sentient beings, their merit is especially superior. Why? Because the supreme teachers, having learned here, teach here that all dharmas are emptiness. Hearing this, the Shravakas quickly attain liberation, and attain the Pratyekabuddha and Buddha enlightenment. Thus it is said. Similarly, even just hearing, explaining, and holding even a single aspect of the profound Dharma, the benefits of that alone cannot be exhausted. As it says in the Sutra Requested by Ocean of Intelligence: Filling this great thousandfold world with gold and offering it to the Sugatas, is less than hearing this treasury of Dharma, as the merit of faith is especially superior. Whoever fills ten thousand worlds with precious jewels and offers them to the Tathagatas, is less than whoever engages with this sutra.

从彼显现导师之，福德彼分非昔前，刹土百千俱胝千，珍宝充满救世尊，胜于供养诸佛者，于此如是善修习，十方所有恒河沙，刹土珍宝充满胜，如所说示如是住，彼之福德无等者，圆满菩提心与法执持，及修法与有情悲悯者，此等四法福德无边际，彼等边际善逝不宣说。如是等宣说，及与虚空边际等同之续中，于七宝等，诸佛之自性，无余摄集之体性，身语意性书写之，是故诸佛皆书写，广大功德不可思议。如是书写经函之利益，及于桦树皮等上，此秘密续，善书写后，善置于珍宝座上，恭敬供养及善执持，如其安住之思，以欢喜之思而执持者，是执持一切佛。如是显示执持之利益。总而言之，建造充满世间界之具相身像并作供养，不如建造小小的佛塔功德大。胜于建造充满世间界之七宝佛塔，并每日以不可思议之天物供养，书写、读诵、讲说、修持四句圣法之福德更大。尤其于教法将灭之时，尽力执持正法之功德不可思议。如《圣观世音》之经部中云：末世执持胜者法，具力具势且具精进，不劣有情悉皆常游行，承事百千诸佛陀。末世执持胜者法，最极端严具足色身具智慧，人中世间最极受承事，国王智者贤者皆赞叹。如是及何者

From that which reveals the teacher, the merit of that part is not like before. Billions of lands, trillions and thousands, filled with jewels, protect the world's teacher. It is better than offering to all the Buddhas. To cultivate well in this way, all the lands in the ten directions, as many as the sands of the Ganges, filled with jewels, are superior. As it is taught, whoever abides, that merit is unparalleled. Perfect Bodhicitta, holding the Dharma, practicing the Dharma, and having compassion for sentient beings, these four Dharmas have boundless merit. The Sugatas do not speak of their limits. Thus, it is said, and in the tantras that are equal to the extent of space, in the seven jewels and so on, the nature of all the Buddhas, the essence of being completely gathered, the nature of body, speech, and mind, is written. Therefore, all the Buddhas are written, and the great qualities are inconceivable. Thus, the benefits of writing scriptures, and on birch bark and so on, this secret tantra, after being well written, is well placed on a jeweled throne, respectfully offered and well held. With the thought of how long it will remain, whoever holds it with a joyful thought, is holding all the Buddhas. Thus, the benefits of holding are shown. In short, building and offering a perfect statue that fills the world is more beneficial than building a small stupa. It is better than building a stupa of seven precious jewels that fills the world, and offering inconceivable divine substances every day. The merit of writing, reading, speaking, and practicing a four-line holy Dharma is even greater. Especially when the teachings are about to perish, the merit of holding the Dharma with whatever effort is made is inconceivable. As it is said in the sutra of the Noble Avalokiteshvara: In the degenerate age, holding the Dharma of the Victorious One, possessing power and strength and diligence, all non-inferior beings constantly travel, serving hundreds of thousands of Buddhas. In the degenerate age, holding the Dharma of the Victorious One, most extremely beautiful, possessing a beautiful body, possessing wisdom, in the human world, most extremely served, praised by kings, wise men, and sages.
