did. In particular, he entrusted the teachings of the secret mantra to six fortunate ones. After residing there for twelve years, he desired to go to the southwest, the land of Rakshasas. Then, in this land of Tibet, as it is said in the Manjushri Root Tantra, "In the land of snows, the sea will recede, and a forest of Sala trees will arise," and as prophesied in the Sutra Requested by the Immaculate Goddess that the Buddha's teachings would flourish, Manjushri, appearing in the guise of a human lord, the Dharma-protecting king Trisong Detsen, saw the tradition established by his ancestors of promoting the Dharma, and his own aspirations matured at the same time, so he desired to spread the Buddhist teachings. Therefore, he invited the great Khenpo Shantarakshita from Zahor to teach the Dharma, but the gods and demons of Tibet became angry and displayed various miracles, which the Khenpo could not subdue. According to the prophecy, the great master Padmasambhava was invited, and he subdued all the unruly gods and demons with his miraculous powers and bound them by oath. He performed the ground-breaking and consecration of the Samye Temple, the unchanging and spontaneously accomplished monastery. Thereafter, through the kindness of this great master, Ba Khri Zhezhang and others, the seven awakened men, were ordained. Many panditas from India and Nepal were invited, and all the Sutra and Tantra teachings were translated into Tibetan, and established through teaching and practice. Many teaching and meditation centers were established. The Dharma-protecting king himself, as well as the princes, the twenty-five king and subjects, Kharchen Yeshe Tsogyal, and many other fortunate men and women, were embraced by the teachings of maturation and liberation, and the number of accomplished ones became as numerous as the dust of the earth. Those teachings that were extremely profound and not suitable for widespread dissemination at that time were buried as profound treasures and entrusted to the ocean of oath-bound protectors, with the expectation that future fortunate holy beings would practice them, as it is said in the Konchok Tala Sutra, "In whatever direction there is no Dharma, in that direction the treasure of Dharma will be revealed." The treasure-revealing holy beings will gradually reveal them and benefit beings in accordance with the times. Furthermore, in this land of Tibet, as long as the Buddha's teachings remain, the heretics will not be able to gain power.

He showed all the inconceivable deeds, such as bestowing the twelve steadfast and powerful goddesses, with the miraculous power of transforming moments into eons. He went to the southwestern Copper-Colored Mountain, carrying wonderful sights and the ocean, and is still alive and dwelling there, also teaching the Dharma. Especially for Tibet, he watches over it with great compassion six times day and night, which is the Vajra's blessing. So, is it contradictory to go from 'Gro lding to Copper-Colored Mountain? It is not contradictory, because he is the nature of showing various illusory appearances that conform to the minds of those to be tamed. Because this is not a biography that can be encompassed by the karma of ordinary people. Therefore, this great teacher is very kind to the entire Jambudvipa, especially to Tibet. And, among the two, Sutra and Tantra, he is also the master of the Tantric teachings, so it is said that he is the teacher of Sutra and Tantra, which is not contradictory in meaning, it should be understood. The second part has three points, the first is the support of the mind: Our teacher, the precious teachings of the Victorious Sun Kinsman, the first of the three supports is the mind.
