In the meditation of Mahamudra, Without clinging to "this is it," Abandon contrived equipoise. In the conduct of Mahamudra, Without the intention of "doing this," Separate the thoughts of what to do and not to do. In the fruition of Mahamudra, Without the new attainment of "achieving this," Cast far away hope and fear. This is the essence of all Kagyu views, The single path of all the Buddhas and their sons, The method to reverse the wheel of existence, The Dharma to attain Buddhahood in one lifetime. It is the essence of all the sutras and tantras, May the lords of men and all beings pervading space, Simultaneously realize liberation, And attain the supreme accomplishment of Mahamudra. This is also the perfection of emptiness, endowed with all supreme qualities, the Prajnaparamita itself, for the sake of not transcending the speech that appears as the guise of Vajradhara. Spoken by the retinue of Padma, Yonten Gyatso, the infinitely wise. At the third Deva Koti, on the left side of the Jewel Rock, in the All-Good Great Bliss Clear Light Land. May it be auspicious! Furthermore, a song drawn from the definitive meaning of the profound path of the Six Dharmas of Naropa, called "A Flower Ornament of Profound Meaning." O Vajradhara with the name of Padmasambhava, You are the compassionate emanation. I am certain that you are the embodiment of all Buddhas. The cries of supplication resound loudly, Inseparably with unfeigned heartfelt longing. Even appearances have become dim and lusterless. Experiencing the meditation of forceful arising. Knowing the reality of the view free from elaboration. The conduct is also uncontrived and natural. Sometimes there is the experience of knowledge running wild, Like past habituation for those with pure vision. Sometimes there is the experience of dullness and confusion, Like a foolish mute in the eyes of others. Sometimes there is the experience of unwavering abiding, Like remembering the master in the presence of practitioners. Sometimes there is the experience of the five poisons self-liberating, Like a frivolous person in the eyes of those with wrong views. Sometimes there is the experience of reckless exhaustion, Like the mind moving with the wind in the eyes of others. Mostly controlled by the power of delusion, One's own dullness arises from within. Sometimes understanding is like the sun between clouds, Knowledge is noisy and the mind is like a high plateau. Like a dog vomiting golden water, wanting to eat it. At those times, compassionate one, There is nothing to think of except Padmasambhava. Some profound meanings burst forth from within.

From my mouth, a few random words may slip, Not from great diligence in striving, But perhaps the golden thread of karmic connection hasn't been severed. Before many Vajra Masters, Touching their lotus feet, I received maturation and liberation. I made good use of the remnants of karma from past lives. Especially the two kind faces of the gracious ones, And even more so, the one father, Padmasambhava, Clearly showed the blessing and splendor of his body. Proclaimed the profound and secret Dharma with a resounding voice. His mind entered and emerged from a hundred gates of samadhi. From his face, with a joyful radiance, he exhaled, In general, with many supreme empowerments, He planted the seeds of the four kayas in the continuum. Through the common and uncommon sequential instructions, He blessed the attainment of both supreme and common siddhis. Through the profound Dharma's introduction to the four kayas, He bestowed the realization of the accomplishment of the meaning lineage. Especially the secret essence of the four classes of tantras, The special Dharma of the great translator, The profound path called the Six Dharmas of Naropa, Is renowned throughout the snowy land of Tibet. That common crown jewel of all scholars and siddhas, Poured forth the nectar of the heart. I understood the meanings of blending and transference, And also recognized the key point of the inseparability of wind and mind. Certainty arose in the biographies of the Dagpo lineage, Afflictions are bliss of tummo wisdom. All of samsara and nirvana appear as illusory bodies. Delusory appearances are like dreams, Dharma is defeated. The nature of all dharmas is clear as light. In the bardo, amidst the deluded thoughts of dualistic appearance, I obtained the upward transference through unerring Dharma. Having heard the six dharmas of words and meanings, I understood. The scriptures of Sutra and Tantra are both present. The Samaya of Caṇḍālī is bound by mudra. External appearances are seen as illusory deity forms. I grasped the key point of dreams and aspirations. Clinging to solidity is destroyed, clear light dawns. By recognizing the self-face of the bardo, it is cut off. The wisdom of deathlessness is transferred upwards. Having experienced the six general meanings through contemplation, The common and special instructions appear. Bliss, warmth, non-thought, and great skill are perfected. Wind and mind arise as the body of the deity. From the four emptinesses, I arise as the deity body. Meaning, clear light, meets its own nature. Appearance and emptiness are united, a rainbow body. A sphere of light is transferred by sound. By meditating on the six hidden meanings, one realizes. There is a distinction between experience and realization. If one does not repeat those words, Then that meaning will be somewhat obscured. Although I have no confidence in understanding, experience, and realization, Yet in the nature of reality, it is naturally so.
