Changing with familiar methods of creation. Abandoning kind relatives and friends in the distance. Exchanging this life for the next even for small matters. For the sake of meager food, abandoning shame. Swallowing black vows like delicious food. Accumulating sinful misdeeds like inheritance. Viewing truthful virtuous conduct as drought. Rejecting white Dharma virtues like poison. In general, apart from a brief moment, Not remembering what will happen next year, What's the point of even looking to the next life? Each year becomes worse than the last. People become weaker generation after generation. Sinful misdeeds increase more and more. Wise and thoughtful people become increasingly rare. The teachings of the supreme Victor are heading towards the western mountains. Qualified followers are like stars in the daytime. Even now, they are becoming worse and worse. In such a terrible end time, The sentient beings who have taken this body have little merit. In short, no matter where I think from, I feel weary. You who have meaning in your hearts, With the hope of waiting for a good time to dawn, Don't be too attached to this life. Generate strong renunciation towards everything you see, Generate detachment towards everything you hear. Practice the Dharma that liberates yourself. Mastering the Dharma is equivalent to mastering victory. I myself am also a common person of the degenerate age, Only the last of men. Having the ability to find faults in others. Even if I don't have a virtuous demeanor, But compared to newly born people, I have a slight advantage of being born earlier. Having grown old, white hair has grown on my head. Because I have seen happiness, my body has not aged. Because my mind is straight, everyone believes I speak the truth. Because I am not deceitful, I am in harmony with everyone. Because I practice the Dharma, I have also obtained the name of Lama. I have a slight trace of study and contemplation. These are all the karmic residues accumulated in the past, And the trust in the supreme Lama and the Three Jewels. It is compassion and blessings that do not deceive. Because this refuge does not deceive, Therefore, with hundreds of thousands of labors of thought, Putting aside many methods of effort, If one can entrust one's mind to the Lama and the Three Jewels, Then all the wishes of this life and the next will be fulfilled, The aspiration for permanent happiness will surely arise. You are staying now, and will come later. Please also keep these words in mind. The weariness caused by the changes of the degenerate age and unruly beings is not just lip service, but comes from the heart, and is the lament from the throat of boundless wisdom.

From that it arises. O you useless person, with many thoughts, Your words seem true, but are actually empty. Looking at your face, the kingdom seems like the sun rising, But when it comes to action, darkness descends. O you lazy person, with much to say, You utter everything that comes to mind, But you don't put a single word into practice, And when you do act, it's always something base. O you person of many ideas, with much to do, You start one task but jump into two before finishing, You aim for the heights but then retreat, You don't stay in your own place but reach for the high. O you narrow-minded person, with much joy and sorrow, You don't weigh the importance of high or low words, You are affected by the mere appearance of black and white, You are easily pleased or angered by the quality of food. O you person of fleeting enthusiasm, with much change, When happy, you are like a Bodhisattva, When sad, you are like being tormented by a snake. You are always like a discarded rag. O you inferior person, with many acquaintances, You gradually separate from old friends, And seek new acquaintances among strangers. When in trouble, you have no one to rely on. O you greedy person, with great attachment, When you see a fair face, you break into a smile, When you see fine possessions, your heart stirs, Even when begged by the poor, you are stingy. O you ignorant person, with great selfishness, You don't accept the truth even when told honestly, Your mind is full of deceit, yet you have no shame, You cheat others without compassion. From beginningless time, you have carried the burden of bad karma, You have been friends with afflictions for a long time. Now you have obtained a precious human body, And have the opportunity to encounter the Buddha's teachings. What you do is in your own hands. Tough iron, when forged, can become tools, Hard stone, when melted, can become jewels, Barren fields, when plowed, can yield crops, Untamed animals, when tamed, can be ridden. O son of man, who understands words, If you don't tame yourself from the depths of your heart, The path to liberation will be difficult. Karma is in your own hands, yet you are controlled by others, You waste your life in idle thoughts of practice, You run after food, clothing, and shelter, And the three trainings of hearing, thinking, and meditating vanish. You dwell on the faults of benefactors, You throw your vows and commitments into the water. Your speech is full of meaningless words.
