Through the connection of opportune circumstances, since you have already found the edge of the fruit of diligence in Dharma, do not waste it. When entering a monastery, although you may gain a position of respect from all, high and low, due to great qualities, it is a pity to waste your life with an ordinary mind. Do not lightly say, "These Sutras and Tantras are in harmony with my mind," such self-deceiving words should not arise. Rather than spending a lifetime indulging in elaborate affairs and scattered thoughts, it is better to generate a moment of renunciation and weariness. Remembering impermanence and death from the heart is the best of all thoughts, this is the earnest advice of the All-Knowing One. The wise and accomplished ones of the past also quickly perfected the qualities of the paths and stages through this instruction. Nowadays, because Dharma practitioners do not remember death, as the years and months pass, the clinging to permanence only increases. In the midst of "must, must" thoughts, life passes in an instant. All the thoughts and actions that are presumed to be Dharma become companions to afflictions, only increasing one's own losses. If one cannot properly practice the true Dharma, worldly affairs will also be difficult to fulfill as desired. The Non-Dual Lion (referring to the author) laments that having wasted the precious human rebirth with leisure and opportunity, it is still not enough, and relying on the Three Jewels, one creates immense sins, ultimately becoming a permanent resident of the lower realms. Therefore, when constantly subduing your mind with renunciation and weariness, you will reach the pinnacle of all Dharma practitioners. If there is renunciation, the true Dharma will be accomplished effortlessly; if there is weariness, devotion will naturally arise; if one can abandon attachment, favorable conditions will naturally be available. The greater the desire and attachment, the more difficult it is to fulfill desires, and unwanted things will befall you. The greater the expectation, the more difficult it is to achieve what you think, and the purpose is turned upside down. A lifetime is like an autumn dream, neither good nor bad leaves any trace. This year's joys and sorrows will vanish next year. In this illusory and unreal appearance, if you can let go of hope and worry, you will gain great happiness. Do not seek from others, seek from your own mind. If you have a selfish mind, even if you pray, it will be difficult to be reborn in the Pure Land of Bliss. In your heart you desire happiness, but what you do is create suffering, this is the common way of samsara. If the motivation of Bodhicitta is good, then everything done is Dharma, but it is extremely rare to cut off the clinging to selfishness and instead practice altruistic Bodhicitta without contrivance.

Merely a verbal aspiration, Mostly following after the appearances of objects. Such is not the conduct of a Bodhisattva, Though actions are many, they do not lead to the path. Mouth speaks of generating bodhicitta, but the heart seeks self-interest, Though the appearance of Dharma is good, it is the cause for attaining the Hearer and Solitary Realizer. Even praising bodhicitta, If one does not possess the two bodhicittas, It is like a poor person praising a jewel. When unfeigned compassion arises in the heart, Even if one is not skilled in explaining terms, one is a child of the Victorious Ones. When one realizes the nature of one's own mind without error, Even if one cannot show signs of accomplishment, one has received the lineage. Therefore, better than hundreds of thousands of apparent virtues, Is to generate devotion and compassion from the depths of one's heart, And to see the nature of one's own mind in an instant. The arising of experiences is like mist in the southern sky, Everything arises from the empty expanse of one's own mind. Since whatever arises is not established as other than mind, In reality, there is neither benefit nor harm, and in that very state, If one grasps at it as real, even great meditators are deceived by their meditation. If one has hope and doubt, obstacles and hindrances will enter. If one engages in negation and affirmation, one will be bound by the pitfalls of signs. However, without meditating, Experiences will not arise. Even if they are said to arise, if one gets to the point, it is false. Whatever good or bad arises, such as the aggregation of elements, Is a sign that meditation has gone to the point. Therefore, having decided that whatever arises is one's own mind, Without hope, doubt, negation, or affirmation, abandon it into the expanse. By leaving the ariser as it is, the way of arising also Becomes the aid for realizing the path of non-action, And the self-power of realization, all appearances of samsara and nirvana, Arise without obstruction, and also increase experiences. Nowadays, those with the title of realized and accomplished ones, Even without the ability to uphold a tradition, are mostly Partisan and claim to be holy. They do not believe in the Buddha's teachings and the next life, And the deeper their connection with themselves, the more they are pushed towards the lower realms. Householders, although they have no responsibility to uphold the Dharma, Due to the exhaustion of merit, they also engage in sectarian bias. Gradually, the situation becomes serious, leading to sectarian conflicts and destruction. For such a sect, there is no need to mention the next life, Even in this life, inauspicious things will arise. Therefore, for humble individuals like myself, Although it is difficult to practice as the Dharma says, If only one does not accumulate the evil karma of abandoning the Dharma, It is very important for the beings of the degenerate age. Indiscriminately indulging in sleep and alcohol
