LT36 0022.A garland of nectar of the heart, spoken to oneself and others in the manner of constant advice and pith instructions..g2.0f

Grant blessings and light, Without separation. Although I have heard a little Dharma, my mind is not integrated with it, so it is difficult to express Dharma-related advice. However, since you have a virtuous mind and have repeatedly asked, I will answer so as not to disappoint you. As it is said: Life is short, and there are many forms of knowledge. The length of life is also unknown. Like taking milk from water for the first time, embrace your own desires. As it is said, the life of worldly beings is like the winter sun, spent in a moment of doing nothing. Especially in the degenerate age, there are many obstacles in life, and like lightning in the sky, one does not know when one will die in an instant. To sum up the main points, except for a mouthful of food and a piece of clothing, no matter who is good or bad, there is no meaningful trust. When one comes, the other is not complete. When one is done, the other is not finished. Knowing that the most important thing is to practice the supreme Dharma, but neglecting it, the worldly affairs that can be done or not are like ripples in the water, one wave is flat and another rises, endlessly, indulging in it, unknowingly spending one's life, and approaching death. The heart is empty, the heart is anxious, and all the deeds of a lifetime are like waking up from a dream, without any benefit to oneself, and the time to go to the next world arrives. It's like the sky and the earth are turned upside down, and one doesn't know what to do. Such a situation may happen to you and me today or tomorrow. Therefore, there is no time to take care of many trivial matters, and many actions are the cause of self-binding, so one should practice the Dharma that is sure to be beneficial at the time of death. Now, the autonomy to practice Dharma is still in one's own hands. If autonomy is lost, one will be like now, wanting to practice Dharma in one's heart but being unable to do so. This is one, the continuation of bad karma from the past life, and two, the failure to subdue one's own mind. If one can subdue one's mind, then the body will naturally follow the mind, and there is no need to hand over autonomy to others. When the body and consciousness separate, and the consciousness follows the karma of good and evil, then one has lost autonomy, like a bird's feather on the top of a mountain fluttering in the wind, one should think like this. There are two ways to practice Dharma: building Buddha statues, offering lamps, circumambulating, reciting scriptures, etc., which are common Dharmas for worldly people and practitioners. Whether it's wonderful or not

Although merit is immeasurable, it does not refer to what is called "the Dharma." Diligently engaging in the three trainings of hearing, contemplation, and meditation, guarding the three vows without difference between outward appearance and inner intention, and striving for unconditioned virtuous roots—these are the common and uncommon practices of those who have entered the Buddha's teachings. We should emphasize this. If all of this is embraced by a pure mind of Bodhicitta, then it becomes the cause of enlightenment and a path to Dharma. Whatever virtuous deeds, whether tainted or untainted, are done without being embraced by the mind of Bodhicitta, they cannot transcend the causes of samsara in the three realms. Therefore, this good intention is always important. If one has a genuine Bodhicitta, not to mention virtuous deeds, even ordinary worldly activities will surely transform into the path to enlightenment. To generate loving-kindness, compassion, and Bodhicitta, one must obtain instruction on the text of the "Seven Points of Mind Training." And one must find a virtuous spiritual friend who is not swayed by the eight worldly concerns to teach it. Moreover, if one is not guided by a virtuous spiritual friend, the mind will not turn to Dharma. Even if a slight inclination to practice Dharma arises, it is unlikely to lead to the path of Dharma. Therefore, as it is said, "All the Buddhas' teachings depend on virtuous spiritual friends." The King who possesses the supreme of all qualities said so. As it is said, a good virtuous spiritual friend is like a guide for the blind for those who desire liberation. So, since all thoughts that arise from self-desire will not become Dharma, what is the real thing to accept? We are not followers of householders, but followers of the Buddha, so we should not accept this life, but should accept the next life. Even if what benefits the next life is Dharma, if the Dharma is not integrated with one's mind, it is like applying something from the outside. Dharma that involves boasting, competitiveness, and saying "I did it" or "I must do it" only increases the noise of the eight worldly concerns. This becomes an accomplice to afflictions. Sometimes, one's mind becomes so bad that the practitioner themselves does not realize that they are contradicting the Dharma, and they become the object of ridicule and laughter by everyone. To integrate one's mind with Dharma, one must remember impermanence in one's heart, even three times a day. Once impermanence is remembered in one's heart, one loses interest in this life and becomes short-sighted. At that time, this life, the next life, and the bardo
