甚深行持需保密，神名形相与成就相亦密。此为四种共同之秘密。修行处所、时间、道友与资具，期间保密而行修。此为四种处所之秘密。其他如能生起信心的咒物及用具等，皆应保密。上师与道友所交付之秘密，此为十种秘密。对于破戒者、无誓言者、未见坛城者等，纵有金刚之舌亦不言说，保密之。支分之誓言中，交合解脱、妄语、恶语、不予取予，此为以方便摄持之五种所断。贪欲、嗔恨、愚痴、我慢、嫉妒，此为以自性了知而不舍弃之五种。大便、小便、大红、精液、脑髓，此为舍弃执着分别而于自性中取受之五种。五蕴、五大、五境等，应知为五部之父尊、母尊之五种。善逝、金刚、宝生、莲花、羯磨，此为以道之次第而修持之五种。总摄以上二十五种。此外，还有修行特别之誓言二十五种，行持恒常之誓言八种，重要决定之誓言四种等，应尽力学习。特别是像这样的大修之时，不应做、不可为之重要誓言，于所有秘密续部中说：恭敬上师不违背，不过四座瑜伽时，于神与咒莫怀疑，道友姐妹生悲悯，于诸有情慈悲护，我慢骄慢嗔恚舍，贪欲嫉妒莫放纵，密咒见行双运持，圆满近修及修持，懒惰睡眠酒等舍。如是所说，以虔诚清净观为基础，以神咒三摩地为正行，以律仪誓言为后盾，远离睡眠、懒惰、酒等放逸之因及堕罪之门。以信心、欢喜、精进猛利而一心一意努力，极为重要。总的来说，若密咒之誓言失坏，则会堕入金刚地狱之无间大苦之中，乃至虚空未尽之间，亦无解脱之机会。特别是像这样的大修，极为甚深且重要，如取毒蛇头顶之宝珠一般，利害攸关。

The profound conduct must be kept secret, as well as the names, forms, and signs of accomplishment of the deities. These are the four common secrets. The place, time, companions, and materials for practice should be kept secret during the practice. These are the four secrets of place. Other things that can generate faith, such as mantra substances and implements, should be kept secret. The secrets entrusted by the teacher and fellow practitioners are the ten secrets. Even if one has the vajra tongue, one should not speak of those who have broken vows, those without vows, or those who have not seen the mandala, but keep it secret. In the branch vows, union and liberation, lying, harsh words, not giving and taking, these are the five to be purified by means of skillful means. Desire, hatred, delusion, pride, and jealousy are the five that are not abandoned by knowing their nature. Excrement, urine, red substances, semen, and marrow are the five to be taken into the nature by abandoning grasping and conceptualization. The five aggregates, five elements, five sense objects, etc., should be known as the five fathers and five mothers of the five families. Tathagata, Vajra, Ratna, Padma, and Karma are the five to be accomplished in the order of the path. These are the twenty-five in total. In addition, there are twenty-five special vows for practice, eight constant vows for conduct, and four important and definite vows, which should be studied as much as possible. Especially during a great practice like this, the important vows of what should not be done and what is not allowed are stated in all the secret tantras: Respect the teacher and do not disobey their words. Do not exceed the four sessions of yoga. Abandon doubt in deities and mantras. Generate compassion for fellow practitioners. Protect all sentient beings with compassion. Abandon pride, arrogance, and hatred. Do not indulge in desire and jealousy. Unite the view and conduct of secret mantra. Complete the perfection stage, approach, and accomplishment. Abandon laziness, sleep, and intoxication. As it is said, base yourself on devotion and pure perception, straighten yourself with deity, mantra, and samadhi, rely on vows and commitments as your support, and stay far away from the causes of carelessness and the doors of downfall, such as sleep, laziness, and alcohol. It is extremely important to strive single-mindedly with strong faith, joy, and diligence. In general, if the vows of secret mantra are broken, one will be born in the great hell of Vajra, the Avici hell, and there will be no opportunity for liberation as long as space exists. Especially a great practice like this is extremely profound and important, like taking a jewel from the head of a poisonous snake, with great risks and benefits.

Therefore, if one indulges in recklessness and violates samaya, not only will the violator himself experience many misfortunes in this life and the next, but all other yogis gathered in the assembly circle will also be affected by the stain of his violation. As it is said in the 'Kun Dus Rigpai Do' (The Sutra of the Total Gathering of Awareness), 'Why does a small amount of milk, like all milk, rot because of decay? One who has violated yoga, makes all yogis displeased.' Therefore, it is very important to always be diligent and inseparable from mindfulness. The benefits of keeping samaya are inconceivable. If one is inseparable from the life force, then all sensory enjoyments will naturally arise, and all the virtues of the path to enlightenment will increase. In particular, if one strives in practice, then the two siddhis will be easily accomplished. As it is said in the tantras, 'If one practices with strong faith and diligence, even a person who has committed the five inexpiable sins can attain siddhi, such is the specialty of secret mantra.' Please keep these words in mind and strive to adopt and abandon accordingly. In the case of such a great secret practice, the arrangement of the ritual, the arrangement of offerings, etc., the more extensive they are, the greater the need to quickly complete the gathering and quickly attain siddhi. Therefore, unless one is of low intelligence and small means, one should not reduce the elaboration with laziness, negligence, and half-heartedness. Guru Rinpoche said, 'If you diligently maintain the teachings extensively to the best of your ability and capacity, you will surely attain both great and swift siddhis.' Why? Because even the smallest rituals mostly come from the tantras, and some are the oral traditions and practices of realized lamas, some are prophecies of dakinis, and some are what I, Orgyen myself, have combined with experience in Yang le shod, so dispel all doubts and practice! Those who are doubtful and stingy, and those who are perfunctory, will not have even a sesame seed's worth of siddhi. Therefore, it should be practiced only with faith and devotion.' He said this again and again.
