Even if you say the six rounds of refuge, it doesn't matter. But in practice, it's four rounds. That is, I and all sentient beings as infinite as the sky, from now until the attainment of enlightenment, take refuge in the glorious and precious Lama. I take refuge in the Buddhas, the Bhagavad. I take refuge in the sacred Dharma. I take refuge in the noble Sangha. When reciting hundreds of thousands of trillions of times, without distraction and with sincere faith, visualize the Lama as the guide, the Buddha as the teacher, the Dharma as the true path, and the Sangha as companions. Furthermore, the root text "Precious Treasure Trove" says: I take refuge in the Lama, Yidam, and Three Jewels, I take refuge in the Dakinis, Dharma Protectors, and Guardians, I and all sentient beings as infinite as the sky, until enlightenment. This is the same meaning as before, and the number can be accumulated. Finally, when establishing the common practice, immeasurable light radiates from the objects of refuge, purifying all the sins and obscurations of oneself and others. The body transforms into the body of Amitayus without outflows, and the mind transforms into the non-conceptual Dharmakaya. Visualize going to each pure land. Again, with great devotion, fold your hands and bow down to the Lama and the Three Jewels. Please bless my being. Pray earnestly like this, so that the seat and entourage all dissolve into light and merge into the main deities. The Sangha dissolves into white light and merges into the crown of your head, the Dharma dissolves into red light and merges into your throat, and the Lama, Yidam, and Buddhas dissolve into blue light and merge into your heart. Visualize that the body, speech, and mind of the objects of refuge and your own three doors are inseparable, this is the conventional refuge. Maintaining the unadulterated awareness that is indivisible from clarity and emptiness, free from conceptualization, is the ultimate refuge. Fourth is the benefit, and fifth is the precepts, which should be understood as explained in the general Mahayana scriptures. Second is the generation of Bodhicitta, which is divided into conventional and ultimate. First, the conventional is further divided into aspiration and engagement. First is aspiration: all sentient beings as infinite as the sky are one's own parents.

There is not one that is not so. All these beings, although they desire happiness and comfort, are actually creating the cause of suffering, so there is no time to be liberated from the unbearable great pit of fire of samsara, it is truly pitiful. I will establish all these beings, without exception, in the state of the protector Amitayus and wisdom. For this purpose, first I must obtain the state of Amitayus, I must think this repeatedly. Second, for ordinary people who do not have the cause of obtaining this state, and for heretics who have inverted causes, and for Sravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who do not have complete causes, I will generate a superior mind, relying on the common and uncommon paths of the Mahayana, and especially I will practice the profound generation and completion stages of the protector Amitayus. With this attitude, recite the bodhicitta vows: "The Lama, the Buddha, the Dharma, And the Sangha, until I attain enlightenment, I take refuge. By the merit of my giving etc., May I quickly attain Buddhahood For the benefit of beings." If you want to expand, you can recite: "For the sake of accomplishing both self and other benefits, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta, May I abide in the four vajra places, May all beings have happiness and quickly attain Buddhahood." Recite this about three times. Second, the one who generates bodhicitta, the object of bodhicitta, sentient beings, and the bodhicitta that is generated, all three must be placed as much as possible in the meaning of the originally pure nature. Third, regarding the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva, there are three points: the necessity of meditation, the meditator, and how to meditate. First, the qualities of the path must arise in the continuum, and the continuum must be pure. Just as a cloth stained with dirt cannot be dyed, qualities will not arise in an impure continuum. Moreover, in the continuum of us, there are inconceivable accumulations of sins and obscurations accumulated from beginningless time, and these will obscure the arising of wisdom. In particular, violating the three vows in this life, etc., although the time is short, the obstruction is great. In order to purify these obscurations, in general, there are many methods in tantra, such as the seven doors of conduct and the twenty-five practices, but for those with little resources and great meaning, this meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva is said to be the most important. Second, whoever practices it will benefit.
