It is the accumulated karma. Because each position has its own truth, one should not scold any party. However, the ultimate destination is this Mahamudra alone. If you practice like the five perfections, first you must establish refuge and bodhicitta in the continuum as usual, this is one. The so-called Vajrayana teachings are the two, the generation stage and the completion stage. Visualize your own body as Vajravarahi or any other deity, and practice the generation stage with four characteristics, this is two. Visualize the root guru on the crown of your head or in your heart, and generate strong devotion, this is three. The main practice is to meditate on the union of shamatha and vipassana, this is four. Finally, seal it with the dedication and aspiration of the three spheres without conceptualization, this is five. Because all the teachings of sutra and tantra are contained in these five perfections, these are enough for the practice of Dharma. There is no need for too much complexity. Even if you know the eighty-four thousand Dharma doors, if you do not practice them, you will die like an ordinary person at the time of death. In general, during the stage of accumulation and purification, one must put into practice whatever Dharma one sees and hears without interruption, like a hungry person finding food. When establishing the practice, do not have too many things to do and remember. Until a single experience arises, you must focus on one practice and be able to endure suffering. Moreover, in order to generate samadhi, one must first practice shamatha. Just as the reflection of the moon cannot be clearly seen in muddy water, because the mind is never separated from conceptual thoughts, one cannot recognize the wisdom of vipassana. Even if one recognizes it slightly, one cannot gain stability. If a beginner mixes with noise, samadhi cannot arise, so the body and mind must be in a quiet place. Even if you cannot generate a genuine thought of abandoning this life, you should temporarily not consider worldly affairs. Regarding your own food and clothing, you should have the thought of whatever it is, and do not think about whether you can make a living or not. Regarding bedding and other necessities, you should also have the thought of whatever it is, and do not think that this is not good, that is needed. Do not think in your mind that this is not good, that is needed. Also, do not look at books or copy, etc. If it is unavoidable, do as little as possible. If you follow one conceptual thought, you will fall into an abyss and gradually lose your autonomy. Meaningless questions and conversations

Also, do not engage in excessive idle chatter. Do not worry about your own position being weakened. Do not contemplate plans for future development and dominion. In short, in a secluded place, completely abandon all worldly affairs. To establish a stable foundation, draw a white earth swastika (卍) symbol under the bedding. Once the bedding is arranged, do not move it. Arrange offerings such as images of the deities and mandalas, keeping them clean and without distraction. Before a single experience arises, make a firm vow that even in death, your mind will not waver, and rely on the five perfections. For calm abiding (shamatha), the posture of the body and the way of looking are crucial. Therefore, sit in the vajra posture (full lotus). Place the hands in the meditation mudra four fingers below the navel. Straighten the spine like an arrow. Keep the shoulders open. Slightly bend the neck as if a crow were swallowing food. Keep the lips naturally open, without smiling, and touch the tip of the tongue to the upper palate. Gaze gently with eyes slightly closed at the space eight fingers in front of the tip of the nose. The key point of the mind is not to cut off the past, that is, not to think about anything that has already happened. Do not welcome the future, that is, do not consider any good or bad that may happen in the future. Keep the present awareness in its natural state, without any fabrication, that is, do not have hope of "whether I can succeed in meditation" or worry about "whether I will fail," and do not have doubts about "whether this is right or wrong." Instead, regard the present awareness as a dull state and recognize it. Without acceptance or rejection, without affirmation or negation, let it exist naturally. That is, do not be distracted, do not fabricate. The so-called "unfabricated" means possessing all the key points of abiding in the three kayas, and the three doors of liberation are also the same. Beginners should meditate for short periods and many times. During meditation, focus the awareness and do not let it wander elsewhere. If a thought suddenly arises, directly examine its nature, without trying to stop it or follow it. During the post-meditation breaks, also maintain mindfulness, simply recognizing the nature, without distraction. Similarly, when speaking, deceiving, or looking at examples, also maintain mindfulness. In short, do not be distracted. Whether in meditation or post-meditation, do not allow external appearances and sounds, or internal body and mind, to be distracted. If you try too hard, it will create obstacles. Therefore, just have some recognition of the natural state, and do not bind yourself with your own thoughts. As a result, the arising and dissolving of thoughts will be even more frequent than before.
