Yes. To dispel evil circumstances and obstacles, if one is beaten or whipped, it is actually a blessing. All siddhis arise from that. Those with devotion rejoice in practice. As it is said, to know that whatever is done is a virtue is the second point. To cultivate devotion to the lama, not to mention not caring whether the lama is pleased or displeased in this life, and not even hoping to obtain the supreme siddhi, whether the lama compassionately accepts you or not, whether you obtain siddhi or not, what you have to do is only devotion, and to make a firm decision to eliminate doubts is the third point. In the world, how much can a decent person do for their superiors, whether in person or behind their back? That is only for a few years or months in this life. Our lama, from now until we attain enlightenment, is our hope and reliance. No matter what kind of happiness and virtue, great or small, arises in this life, the next life, or the intermediate state, it is all due to the kindness of the lama. If we have any Dharma qualities, it all depends on the lama. Therefore, all actions of body, speech, and mind should be dedicated to serving the lama. Even praying for the lama's long life and flourishing activities should not be separated from the thought of pleasing him. This is the fourth point. If we serve the lama with such thoughts, our own mindstream will inevitably ripen and be liberated. In terms of practice, everything is included in two points: one is to carry out the lama's instructions, and the other is to accomplish the lama's intentions. In terms of body, prostrate and circumambulate, write and draw, run errands, and even fetch water and sweep the floor. In terms of speech, make prayers and praises, and proclaim the lama's virtues to others. With pleasant requests and approvals, speak gently and respectfully, without hiding anything. Do not speak words that could be used for defamation, whether openly or secretly. In terms of mind, do not let go of devotion and pure perception for even a moment, and do not give rise to wrong views. If unpleasantness arises in the mind due to bad karma, etc., it should be immediately grasped with mindfulness, and should not be expressed in body or speech. If actions that go against the lama's wishes occur due to past bad karma, then one should make intense confession with body and possessions. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra, perform ganachakra and confession, etc., and diligently engage in confession. One should not eat or even talk with those who go against the lama's wishes or disagree with him, and one should not do so with a pleasing mind. From the bottom of one's heart, pray for one's lama.

Moreover, if you are close to the (teacher's) relatives, even if you do not directly slander the teacher yourself, it is said that it is no different from slandering the teacher. In terms of possessions, offer without reservation whatever you cherish, as well as whatever the teacher himself likes. Offer valuable items and high-quality items, as well as useful things such as young horses and livestock, and be willing to part with them. Offer whatever you have to the teacher. Obtain great fame. Request important empowerments and teachings. If things are slightly unsatisfactory, show displeasure. Gratitude is only directed towards oneself. There is no gratitude towards those who can give Dharma teachings, but it is said that there is a need to be grateful to those who request and listen. Not understanding that making offerings and serving is for one's own benefit, but instead complaining a lot to the teacher and putting on airs, it is better for such people to live separately from the beginning. Therefore, if undeluded devotion arises, then, as it is said in the scriptures, there will be real signs of blessings entering one's mindstream, and in particular, the appearance of the eight worldly concerns will become blurred. Abandon life. Awareness arises clearly and emptily, and if realization suddenly arises, that is a supreme and true sign. Whether or not actual meditation can arise depends on this. Do not blindly pursue shamatha and vipassana, but sow seeds of merit in your own mindstream. The actual essence of the guidance is the general collection of the secrets of the realization of the Kagyu lineage's past masters, and in particular, the Great Seal of Definitive Meaning, the ocean itself, is a treasure trove of profound definitive meaning, so pay homage to them with respect. In particular, rely on a qualified teacher by pleasing him in five ways, and thereby obtain the nectar of oral instructions. The teacher's words will naturally enter the mind. Looking at books only gives a dry understanding. Even if some experiences arise, they cannot last and will disappear after a few days. We two are originally different. However, if you have not found a qualified teacher, or even if you have found one, if the way of relying on him is not correct, then if you dabble in many different teachings, you will find that some teachings are unclear in one aspect, but are very clear in another, so they will be helpful when needed. In particular, if you respectfully encounter the profound Dharma that is without sectarian bias, then you will not know which Dharma you have a karmic connection with. One (teaching) can unlock the obstacles to multiple meanings. At that time, even if you encounter the vast Buddhist scriptures and treatises, there will be a great harvest of understanding that is in harmony with your mind. Those who boast of being great meditators,
