Admonition. In short, whatever you do, do not mix it with selfish thoughts, and let all the Dharma activities you do become a remedy for counteracting self-grasping. When inhaling, visualize all the suffering and defilements of all sentient beings transforming into a black mist, entering through your nostrils, and dissolving into your heart. When exhaling, visualize all the merit and happiness you have accumulated since beginningless time transforming into white light, exiting through your nostrils, giving each portion to each sentient being, so that they all attain Buddhahood, and feel joyful. Recite these words: When happy, dedicate the merit; may benefit and happiness fill the sky. When suffering, may the suffering of all ripen; may the ocean of suffering dry up. Always recite these words. At the time of death, even if there is no time to practice other Dharma, combine the practice of giving and taking with your breath, and try to complete it before your breath stops. Whether your body is sick, your mind is suffering, lawsuits arise, misfortune occurs, or you encounter anything unpleasant, do not resent others, but think that it is caused by your own clinging, and blame yourself. Regard all enemies, relatives, and neutral parties as supports for cultivating Bodhicitta, as helpers for purifying defilements, and think that they are all very kind. Do not hope that others will praise you because you have no attachment, and do not have such words and deeds. All actions must conform to the Buddhist precepts and maintain purity. Do not speak of the faults of others, and when you see the faults of others, understand that it is your own impure perception. Do not expose the shortcomings of others, do not speak harsh words, do not recite fierce mantras to non-humans, etc., these should be avoided. Do not transfer your own difficult work to others, and do not push your own faults onto others. If those who disagree with you fail, do not be happy. Do not wish for enemies to suffer misfortune. If others get sick, do not think that you will gain fame and fortune because of it. Do not even have these thoughts. Whether the situation is good or bad, whether you can persuade others or not, cultivate Bodhicitta, and especially for those enemies and obstacles who are difficult to generate compassion for, cultivate it persistently. Abandon the habit of sometimes practicing and sometimes not practicing because you do not have a definite understanding of the Dharma. Practicing the Dharma is for your own benefit, so no matter how much effort you put in, do not show off to others. For actions such as exposing shortcomings, insulting, beating, anger, etc., do not retaliate, but single-mindedly cultivate compassion. Do not show signs of happiness or unhappiness for even a small matter. Even the slightest harm to yourself is unbearable, but to others

If even the smallest harm is not avoided, the meaning of generating Bodhicitta will be lost. Therefore, exchanging self and others is a great and skillful distinction, and one should practice it like striking stone against bone. Merely generating Bodhicitta purifies immeasurable accumulations of sins, and virtues increase inexhaustibly. The merit of a single moment of Bodhicitta is greater than filling realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges with jewels and offering them to all the Buddhas individually. Needless to say, the benefits are immeasurable, as it is the essence of all Dharmas. Therefore, all the practices of Bodhisattvas, such as the six perfections, arise solely from compassion. One should not say, "I will meditate for this many months or days," or "I will only have compassion for one suffering being." Instead, one should train to constantly pervade all beings without partiality with great compassion. Furthermore, to ripen one's own mindstream, one should train in all aspects of virtue, which is the discipline of accumulating virtuous Dharmas. To ripen sentient beings, one should guide others to accomplish whatever virtues are appropriate for them, which is the discipline of benefiting sentient beings. All the vows of a Bodhisattva are included within these two. If one does not do what one is capable of accomplishing with these two, it is said to be a fault of a Bodhisattva. Therefore, at the appropriate time, one should accomplish virtuous roots oneself and also encourage others. To be content with only one or two types of virtuous actions and to cling to a vague experience that cannot withstand adverse conditions is simply a fault of not having heard the scriptures of the Victorious Ones and the biographies of the holy ones. ༈ །། Secondly, regarding the instructions on the hundred-syllable mantra for purifying sins and obscurations. Generally, there are two types of hundred-syllable mantras: the Tathagata hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in the Tantra of the Three Vows, and the Vajrasattva hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in various tantras. Vajrasattva also has two types: the peaceful category of the assembled deities hundred-syllable mantra, which can include the names and mantras of limitless deities who have transcended the world, and the wrathful Heruka hundred-syllable mantra mentioned in the Ornament of Clear Realization and other texts. The number of syllables in these mantras may not always be exactly one hundred, but they are called hundred-syllable mantras because they belong to the same category of mantras. Now, I will explain the visualization sequence of the peaceful Vajrasattva hundred-syllable mantra. For this, one should also be in accordance with yoga, that is, the hero one
