From that, ten activities of a Bodhisattva are taught: abiding in the root of faith, relying on virtuous spiritual friends, seeking the sacred Dharma without bias with intense diligence, not abandoning diligence in virtuous actions with strong desire, not wasting actions and activities with mindfulness, not being attached to one's own virtue but maturing sentient beings, upholding the sacred Dharma without regard for body and life, not being satisfied with the accumulation of merit, diligently accumulating the accumulation of wisdom, never separating from the correct meaning at any time, and completely seeking all paths with skillful means. We should strive for these teachings. Instructions for entering: If you want a good year, it is not enough to just have seeds, you must work hard at farming. Similarly, it is not enough to just have the thought of wanting to become a Buddha, you must practice the Bodhisattva's conduct, both great and small, as much as possible. That is, giving, keeping precepts, practicing patience, exerting effort, and studying well in meditation and wisdom, these are the six perfections. In short, as it says in the Bodhisattvacharyavatara, "There is nothing that Bodhisattvas should not learn, and there is nothing that should not be done." Accumulate virtuous roots without bias, and rejoice in the virtuous deeds done by others. Loving-kindness is the wish that all sentient beings may encounter new happiness that has never existed before, and to establish the cause of that happiness in virtue. Compassion is the wish that sentient beings may be free from present suffering, and that in the future they may also prevent the cause of suffering, which is non-virtue. Joy is rejoicing in the present happiness of others' bodies and minds. Equanimity is treating oneself and sentient beings like one's mother equally, without distinguishing between importance. Towards all sentient beings, without distinguishing between near and far, not being attached to one side, not hating one side, but treating all equally, this is equanimity. Without distinguishing between enemies, friends, and neutrals, cultivating in this way towards immeasurable sentient beings pervading the expanse of space is called the four immeasurables, and after entering the Great Vehicle Yoga, this is the essence of Dharma that is necessary at the core of practice. For this, the Kadampa's secret instruction is to contemplate the relationship of cause and effect, thereby generating love and so on in the mindstream. I must become a Buddha no matter what. For that, I need Bodhicitta. For Bodhicitta, I need compassion. For compassion, I need loving-kindness. For loving-kindness, I need to know and repay kindness.

To cultivate (Bodhicitta). The reason for this is that all sentient beings must be known as parents. After knowing this, first think of the kindness of the mother who first caressed you, and cultivate loving-kindness. Like this, cultivate on a larger scale towards all sentient beings, all sentient beings who are sustained by the breath of life. Do not expect to be seen by others as a good practitioner, or desire food, clothing, fame, etc., or hope to be better than others, and pretend to be a Bodhisattva, acting hypocritically, and taking names as realized ones and accomplished ones. These two are the root of destruction, so you must rely on the antidote of difficult-to-obtain leisure and impermanence. No matter what virtuous deeds and Dharma practices you do, even if you only wish for the happiness of gods and humans in the next life, it is contrary to Bodhicitta, so you must remember the faults of samsara and the results of karma. If you only have selfish thoughts and do not generate the thought of benefiting others, then the root is wrong, so you must cultivate the mind of exchanging self and others. This is also very important behind the scenes. That is, I and all sentient beings are the same in wanting happiness, the same in not wanting suffering, and also the same in the Dharma nature of no self-nature. I am only one, but there are many sentient beings, so it is even more important than being equal to me. Therefore, I want to attain Buddhahood and place all sentient beings in Buddhahood. This must not only be understood, but must be firmly established in the mind. To achieve this goal, I do not cherish myself, and I consider any sentient being to be more precious than myself. For the happiness of others, I am willing to endure even the most severe suffering. Both thought and action must be entirely for the benefit of others. Now, even if we do a little bit of good deeds, it is for our own benefit. Entrusted by others Doing things for those who entrust happiness, you won't get anywhere doing this. Not to mention practice, all actions of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down should be done with a pure altruistic mind. If there is harm from illness and demons, if others speak badly, if afflictions increase, etc., then gather and pile all the unpleasantness of all sentient beings on top of it. If suffering occurs, know that it is past karma, do not be sad, and accept the suffering of others. If happiness occurs, use wealth and power for good purposes, do not be lazy, urge your body and speech, and wish that all sentient beings have happiness.
