I prostrate to the one holding the whisk and vase! The doctrine... With diligence as armor, possessing might and power. To the four great kings who excellently protect the Buddha's doctrine in the four directions of east, south, west, and north, I prostrate! Please bless the flourishing of the doctrine. Recite one verse of those worthy of prostration, etc. The offering is: To all those noble assemblies, I offer bathing water and perfume, flowers and incense, lamps and food, music and cymbals, umbrellas and banners, and whatever else is actually available. And all the sacred possessions of gods and humans in the ten directions that are not possessed by anyone, all the perfect instruments of happiness, and the clouds of offerings generated by the power of dharanis and vidyas and the strength of faith, all the oceans arising from the sutra of the Three Heaps and the Prayer of Good Conduct, filling and expanding all the endless realms of space, I offer. I offer! Please accept them as your own! Having made the general offering in this way, specifically: By offering these beautiful flowers, may all unsightly faults be purified, may I be completely endowed with marks and signs, and may the limbs of enlightenment increase! By offering this fragrant incense, may the impurities of immorality be purified, may I be endowed with undefiled fragrance, and may I attain the five aggregates of wisdom! By offering this bright lamp of light, may all obscurations of knowledge be purified, and by the nature of the light of wisdom, may the five eyes be completely purified! By offering this supreme and well-prepared fragrance, may the corrupted wisdom be purified, and may I have perfect wisdom, knowing all that is to be known without exception! By offering this supreme delicious food, may the six realms of existence be purified, may I possess the supreme food of samadhi and meditative absorption, and may I realize the meaning of non-duality! By offering this beautiful music, may the clinging to the eight worldly dharmas be purified, and relying on the profound instructions, may I realize the many as one taste! Recite the dharani mantra of the cloud of offerings and play music. Then, offer the thirty-seven-heap mandala, and other verses, elaborate or concise as appropriate, and if you like, you can count them and also do things like anointing the earth with incense.
