If it is worn around the neck or arm, may it be liberated from all obstacles! Having made this aspiration, remember its power of truth. Merely tying this protective thread on the left arm of a man and the right arm of a woman, it will be like donning a Vajra armor. May it protect against all obstacles, adverse conditions, and calamities! The protection of Vajra armor, after the protective thread has received the vows, with seven or twenty-one, highly praised and knotted, may it be victorious over the Lord of Death and demons! Tonight, with your head facing the Lama and the Mandala, when sleeping in the posture of a lion, may you see good and bad karma and fortune in your dreams! Thus make a vow. The second part is: Then, generate joy by explaining the profound Dharma of non-retrogression, please listen to this. In the world, all-knowing ones are like the Udumbara flower, appearing occasionally in hundreds of thousands of kalpas, and may not appear in the future. The way to practice the secret mantra is even rarer than that. Who can do unparalleled benefit for sentient beings, and can do supreme deeds. In countless kalpas, the sins committed in the past, once seeing such a mandala, can make those sins exhausted. Those who have completed the preliminary practices, therefore, please dedicate the merits to sentient beings. Recite the dedication and aspiration prayers like this, recited by the disciples. Then, report to the prepared mandala deity: In a respectful posture, holding the vajra bell and incense, pay homage to the Bhagavan who destroys everything, the king of mantras. I am alone, for the love of the disciples, and also for the offering to you, tomorrow I will draw the mandala. Bhagavan, I am very respectful, so please grant your permission. Buddhas, compassionate saviors of the world, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and other secret mantra deities, as well as the protectors of the world, and any powerful ghosts and gods, wherever there are eyes of gods, all those who like to benefit sentient beings, please have mercy on me. My name is so-and-so, and tomorrow I will draw the Vajra Destruction Mandala in the name of the auspicious mandala, doing the rituals as much as I can, please bless me and all the disciples, and all the retinues to enter the mandala.
