All of these are contained herein. Just as a king, though possessing wealth and enjoyment, cannot be considered a king if his majesty is insufficient, so too with this supreme son. Although he possesses all the deities of Vajrakila, if they are not fully integrated into the body, speech, mind, and wisdom of the supreme son, he will not become the supreme son. Therefore, on the three corners of the glorious form are three Hūṃs (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽), and on the three sides are three Phaṭs (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 啪特). At the apex, it is clearly marked with the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese Meaning: 阿), symbolizing that it has been transformed into the essence of singular wisdom. As stated in the Tantra: "On the sides are placed three Phaṭs, on the three corners are placed three Hūṃs." Just as a king, though possessing majesty, cannot be considered enthroned if he has not been granted the kingship, so too with this supreme son. If he is not empowered by the five families, he will not become the supreme son, therefore empowerment is necessary. As stated in the Secret Tantra: "In the palm of the right hand, from the center of the sun, generate Samantabhadra with light. From the A of the left hand, on the lunar disc, generate Samantabhadrī from the A. The middle finger is Vairocana, the thumb is Akṣobhya, the index finger is Ratnasambhava, the ring finger is Amoghasiddhi, and the little finger is Amitābha. The five on the left are the five mothers. At the time of the union of method and wisdom, the fingers should be slightly crossed, this is the mudra of Vajrakila." As it is said, the empowerment of the great self is conferred. Furthermore, empowerment is also conferred upon the wrathful one of all families. From the mouth of the wrathful one emanated from the root mandala of the deity, emanate inconceivable sounds of Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽) and Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 啪特), bestowing upon the supreme son the power and ability to liberate the three realms simultaneously. Furthermore, in order to empower the nature of body, speech, and mind, the mudra of Makara Liberation is performed. From the bodhicitta of Vajrakumara and consort, countless subtle implements are emanated and dissolved into the supreme son, thereby the deity Vajrakumara and the supreme son Vajrakila become one in the three kayas. Just as a king, though empowered, cannot be considered a true king if he does not possess immeasurable merit, so too with this supreme son. He must be blessed into the three kayas. Therefore, he is blessed into the nature of the Vajra three kayas of all Buddhas. Moreover, just as a king puts on armor when going to war, the body of the supreme son is sprinkled with black and white mustard seeds.

Everything is filled with minor wrathful ones without any gaps, and they are assigned to the task of subduing enemies and obstacles. As stated in the tantra: 'To invoke the wrathful king, bless mustard seeds and generate minor wrathful ones.' Thus it is. Just as when a king goes to war, he needs to wear armor and wield sharp weapons, here too, by burning gugul, it is created to possess the splendor of ferocity and unbearable power. As stated in the tantra: 'Burn gugul and scatter mustard seeds. Bless, empower, and cherish it greatly.' It is said. And just as the king's sharp weapon must strike the enemy, similarly here, by smearing it with rakta, it is clear that the red-black phurba, by merely touching the smoke, will destroy everything. As stated in the tantra: 'To destroy malice, smear it with the blood of dogs, pigs, and ravens.' It is said. And just as the king wins the battle and must seize the enemy's land and fortress, similarly here, the heart of the enemy and obstacle must be placed at the boundary between black and white. As stated in the tantra: 'All important points are gathered together. It should be placed at the boundary between black and white.' It is said. Thus, just as a Chakravartin king is similar in many ways, is it certain that this supreme son is defined by the five aspects of Buddha, Vajra, Ratna, Padma, and Karma in terms of number? It is not so. The best of the supreme sons is one hundred and eight, or twenty-one or five, and at least one Vajra assembly is mentioned. The categories of names are: it is also called 'approach phurba,' it is also called 'phurba substance mandala,' and it is also called 'supreme son.' Among these, it is called 'approach phurba' because all the power of approach is gathered here; it is called 'phurba substance mandala' because just as a large accumulation of wealth and enjoyment is commonly called 'substance,' so too, all the deities and blessings are gathered here. It is called 'supreme son' because it is the son emanated from the mind of the Great Glorious One, the mandala is complete on the body, and it is the supreme one who performs all activities. Others are supreme lords but not sons, and the ten wrathful ones are sons but do not perform all the activities like the supreme son, so they are not supreme, and the oath-bound ones are neither sons nor supreme. As it is said: 'Because it arises from the root mind, it is said to be the son who liberates.'
