Having power over peaceful meditation. The seeds for accomplishing the four kāyas are nourished. The protector of the world, whose compassionate smiling face sways. Through the force of devotion, dissolve into a mass of five-colored light. Permeating the two aspects of the reality of one's own nature. The spontaneously born dharmakāya, the sole great bliss, ho! The blessings of the lama enter the minds of all beings. The ground, path, and result are summarized in great bliss. May the intentions and actions, which are the same as all Buddhas, Be completely accomplished in this very life! Again, By naturally abiding in the three vajras of the glorious lama, which are appearance, sound, and thought, may the four modes of conduct be transformed into the secret path of the Vajra-holder. The essence of all meditation and recitation is, Because it is highly praised by the Vajra-holder, By the power of the merit of writing this, May one enjoy the mahāmudrā! This was spoken spontaneously by Karma Ngagwang Yonten Gyatso Lodro Thaye, to fulfill the wishes of the wealthy in noble riches such as faith, the lama Karma Namdak, on the banks of the slowly flowing blue Lchi River, on the slopes of Swangtang, which have the luster of gold and turquoise, in the square pavilion of the Kashmiri tent. May virtue and auspiciousness increase! ༈ The method for inseparably accomplishing the Maitreya Protector Lama, called "The Appearance Pleasing to Great Compassion," is presented. Great Compassionate Lama, Manjushri, with the blazing light of the two wisdoms, dispel the darkness of my heart, and illuminate the good path of yoga. Desiring to purify the superior discipline and increase the light of wisdom, one should inseparably accomplish the Maitreya Protector and the Manjushri Lama. In front of the image, arrange a mandala or a heap of offerings, and pure offering implements. Taking refuge is: the Three Jewels themselves, the regent, the lama who is the embodiment of the Three Roots, the sun of the omniscient teachings, I take refuge until enlightenment. Generating bodhicitta is: Through the profound samādhi of Great Compassion, liberating all beings from the ocean of samsara, in order to establish them in the state of the Maitreya Protector Lama, the yogi should meditate. Self-generation is: Oṃ svabhāva śuddhāḥ sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho'haṃ. Condensed Invocation of Blessing for the Kadampa Lineage. Perfected Essence, Maitreya, the Protector. Body color of pure molten gold. One face, peaceful smile, adorned with auspicious marks. Two hands in the mudra of teaching the Dharma. Holding a lotus sapling. With flowers covering the ears. On the right and left are vases marked with Naga trees. In the manner of a divine king, a great sage. Complete with the attributes of a Chakravartin. Two feet in a half-lotus posture, seated in enjoyment. A form that one cannot tire of seeing. Radiating immeasurable light and rays. From the three syllables marked at the three places. Light radiates, inviting the wisdom being of the same form. Invite Vajra Samaja. Ja Hum Bam Hoh. Again, invite the initiation deities. Bestow initiation, purify all impurities of the body. The excess water rises upwards, the lord of the lineage. Adorned with a blazing golden stupa. At the heart, on a moon, the syllable Mai (Tibetan: མེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मै, Sanskrit Romanization: mai, Chinese literal meaning: loving-kindness). The mantra garland, golden in color, revolves to the right. Light radiates, offering to the noble ones. Arouse the samaya. Having removed all karmic obscurations of all beings. May the two Bodhicitta minds be generated. Thus, have faith. Om Buddha Maitri Mai Svaha. Reciting a hundred thousand eight hundred thousand times is the root recitation. Om Mati Mati Smriti Svaha. Reciting this generates perfect wisdom. Om Mohi Mohi Mohi Maha Mohi Svaha. It is said that reciting this will lead to great benefit for beings. Purify all the offering substances. From emptiness, from the syllable Om. Inside a vast and supreme precious vessel. From Om, clouds of divine offerings. Accomplished from the aspirations of Samantabhadra. Vast and unceasing. Om Sarva Bingbura Pura Sura Sura Avarta Ya Hoh. Om Vajra Sphara Phat. Thus, bless it. Purify the support of the front generation. From emptiness, a Buddha-field arises. A pure and perfect arrangement. In the center of the immeasurable palace, on a lotus and moon. From the syllable Mai (Tibetan: མེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: मै, Sanskrit Romanization: mai, Chinese literal meaning: loving-kindness) of golden color.
