After rejoicing and praising, I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, and until enlightenment, I am liberated from samsara. I pray to offer my body, turn the wheel of Dharma, please do not enter Nirvana, and remain in this world for a long time. I vow here that for the benefit of all sentient beings, may I attain perfect enlightenment. Then, relying on the lineage of the path, the supreme mind of Bodhi, and pure higher intention, abandoning the attachment to self and what belongs to me, in order to rely on the root three jewels, generosity, ethics, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, skillful means, vow, power, and wisdom, I will perfect the ten Paramitas. Loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity, I will abide in these. Generosity and loving speech, beneficial action and acting in accordance with the Dharma. Regret, sleep, drowsiness, agitation, and doubt, I will completely abandon these five obstacles. Greed, hatred, ignorance, and pride, I will abandon all four afflictions. Desire, craving, ignorance, and views, I will also completely abandon the four outflows. The twenty-five ascetic practices that destroy the fear of samsara, as taught by various principal deities, I will firmly uphold. From this time onwards, until reaching the essence of Bodhi, abandoning the Buddha and the mind of Bodhi, as well as the glorious Lama, even if sacrificing my life, I will not rely on other Lamas even in dreams. Furthermore, similarly at all times, without deception, to the best of my ability, I offer my body, speech, and mind, the three, before the principal deity. On this festival symbolized by the beginning of the dark month, like the great Kalachakra praise composed by the Dharma King Omniscient, the six-branch yoga lineage prayer, and the prayers of the Jonang holders of the lineage incarnation fathers and sons, both extensive and concise, as well as the Vajra Descent lineage prayer composed by me, I will do as much as I can.
