That which is free from grasping, like the center of the sky, without conceptualization, is labeled as superior seeing. The very abiding in its own place, untouched by the mind that grasps at objects, and the four modes of conduct of subsequent awareness, like dreams and illusions, should be practiced. By gradually training in the skill of forcefully arising from the analysis and examination of existence and non-existence, one will meet face to face with the reality that is unstained by the blemishes of the eight extremes of elaboration, and thus it is said. The essence of all dharmas (ཆོས་ཀུན༷,Devanagari: धर्म कुन,IAST: dharma kuna,Literal meaning: all dharmas) is the Great Middle Way. The wise (མཁས་པ་དགའ༷,Devanagari: खस प द ग,IAST: khasa pa da ga,Literal meaning: wise one rejoices) should not judge with delight, and the fool (བླུན་བསྒོམ་ཡུལ་ལས་རྣམ་གྲོལ༷་,Devanagari: लन बगम यल लस र न म गल,IAST: lana bagam yala lasa ra na ma gala,Literal meaning: fool liberated from the object of meditation) is liberated from the object of meditation, which is the supreme path of freedom from extremes (མཐའ་བྲལ༷་,Devanagari: थ बर ल,IAST: tha brala,Literal meaning: freedom from extremes). This is extracted from the instructions of Bodhisattva Zla Gyal. (13) The guiding text of the Kadampa secret instructions. The guidance of the Kadampa secret instructions is: First, go forth with refuge and bodhicitta 1, contemplate a stone slab 2, place your own body on it. Then, the four of the king 1, the demon 2, the earth lord, and the Tiu Rang, each holding a hammer from the four directions, strike it, filling about two-thirds with fragments of flesh and blood. The four of the king, the demon, the earth lord, and the Tiu Rang, each cut with a knife. The three of the king, the demon, and the Naga generate the three poisons of attachment, hatred, and delusion, and one eats one's own flesh. Then, invite the demoness in front and meditate on compassion. Think that the demoness is satisfied by eating the rotting flesh of the body. Her mind-essence emerges as a bindu from the heart, comes out of the right nostril, and stays in front. Think that your own mind-essence bindu also extends upwards. Her mind becomes longer and longer and disappears into the sky. Your own mind-essence bindu sinks into her left nostril, and her body becomes empty and clear in the sky. Abide in that state. The giving of the body to the king is the same as before. Invite the harmful Naga in front. Think of his palace as empty. Think of his stomach as a sea of blood and pus, and the intestines as the emanations of the blue-green, and worms, earth lords, frogs, etc. as attendants. Think of the five main organs as the five precious jewels and impure substances, and think of them as odors and incense. In this way, think that all the sins and obscurations of all sentient beings, with him as the chief, appear like scraping off skin with a razor and ripen on oneself. Think that all your own virtues and happiness ripen on him. Meditate for a while. Cut off one path, concentrate one intention, destroy realization, and do not regard the antidote as the path. If I destroy self-grasping today, I will become enlightened today. If there is no tomorrow, I will become enlightened tomorrow. Whenever self-grasping disappears, that is when I will become enlightened. O stubborn one who has not been tamed in all aspects!
