It is pitiful that when encountering pleasant things, one acts with the cause of suffering! It is pitiful that sentient beings, though not inherently existent, are labeled as such due to ignorance, and thus suffer! It is pitiful that sentient beings, though their nature is not truly existent, suffer due to attachment to the self of person and the self of phenomena! Aspiring to Bodhicitta, I wish to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings, like a thirsty person longing for water. Since sentient beings are not mine, I shall accomplish whatever they desire. Visualize sentient beings in front of you, abandon cherishing yourself, may all the negative karma of sentient beings ripen upon me! May my happiness and virtue ripen upon sentient beings! Such is the aspiration. Thereafter, in the post-meditation period, train in difficult practices such as taking on the burdens of others. Self and other are like the one who commands and the one who is commanded. The happiness and suffering to be exchanged are all appearances of one's own mind. One should also determine that they are not truly existent, but are emptiness. Establish boundaries. In the uncommon profound path, even if inconceivable experiences arise, if summarized, there are fifteen: three paths, three experiences, three interdependent originations, three heats, three samadhis. These arise due to the influence of the interdependent origination of wind. Therefore, there is no need to rejoice in favorable conditions, nor is there a need to be displeased with unfavorable conditions, thus meditate. Pure appearances. The inexhaustible body is the inconceivable body, such as the invisible crown protuberance, etc. The inexhaustible speech is the inconceivable speech, heard without near or far. The inexhaustible mind is the inconceivable mind, knowing all that exists. Such qualities and countless others are attained through the experience of practicing the path, thus meditate. After receiving the cause empowerment from the three tantras, if one examines the inner and outer mind, there is nothing at all in the external world. The nature of the mind is clear, its essence is emptiness, clarity is emptiness, and emptiness is clarity. These two are inseparable, which is the nature of the union mind, thus decide in your mind, and abide without distraction. At that time, if thoughts arise, do not continue them. Whatever thought arises, rest in equanimity in the state of union. Twenty-seven co-emergent ones. Now, these three dharmas, due to not realizing them, one wanders in samsara. For the mind, which is like an illusion and without inherent existence, there are four main examples.

Practice in the mind with four branch analogies. Mix sleep and appearance. Experience what is the difference between dream and the present. Generate the definite understanding that "true is not true." Afterwards, dedicate the merit, and have compassion for those who have not realized. Always remember the meaning of the analogies. Through the three doors of preparation, main practice, and conclusion, cultivate definite understanding of the first analogy again and again. Even if it takes a long time, do not abandon the object of meditation from the second one onwards. Apply the nine dharmas to the lower ones as well. If the nature of the analogies is shown, they are: substance, disease, demon, eye defect, dimness, torch, rotating one. Relying on these, this appearance is not made by Ishvara, Vishnu, or atoms, but is the magical display of one's own mind, thus cutting off elaboration. In practicing illusion, the four main analogies are: illusion, mirage, moon in water, lightning. The four branch analogies are: robbery, city of gandharvas, cloud, rainbow. These show that the mind itself also does not have a true nature, but is a change of mind, arising in dependence on various causes and conditions. Thus, cut off elaboration. The four main analogies of dependent origination are: recitation, lamp, mirror, seal. The four branch analogies are: burning glass, seed, sourness, drop of water on a rock. These show that in "illusion," there is not a single cause and condition that is truly established, and there is no cause coming as effect, and there is no effect arising without relying on a cause. Therefore, there is no coming and going, no birth and cessation. This is the meaning. For the inexpressible, the four root analogies are: wild youth, dream of a mute, throbbing in a vital point, pleasure of the senses. The four branch analogies are: wisdom of the third, secret union, waves of enjoyment, mandala wheel. Even though definite understanding arises that all dharmas arise from dependent origination, one abides in the inexpressible because one cannot say, "This is it." Through these methods, the meaning is determined by thirty-two analogies. Then, the analogies are condensed into four main ones. Each one is also determined by four dharmas, and then practiced in the mind. The analogies are dream, illusion, moon in water, seed of dependent origination, throbbing in a vital point of the inexpressible. For each of these, generate definite understanding of mind, illusion, dependent origination, inexpressible. Mix these with appearance and experience them. Generate definite understanding of condensing into one main analogy, which is relying on the waves of enjoyment.
