With the compassion and virtues perfectly accomplished, whatever you do is the protector of immeasurable beings. Please look upon me, a beggar, with compassion. Upon the precious Lama whom you admire, repeatedly meditate in the sky before him. Pray with single-minded devotion. Sit in a squatting or lotus position, whichever is comfortable. If that is not possible, place the right side underneath. From the navel up to the crown of the head, the central channel is empty like a bamboo tube. Above, the white aperture at the crown of the head is wide open. The door is not closed, it is wide open. The mind is like a sphere of light, white and round. Meditate on it as being the size of a bean in the heart. Like blowing away chaff and mustard seeds. Without hesitation, send it out forcefully. Let it dissolve into the heart of the Lama. From now until enlightenment is attained, plant the wish for the well-being of the kind mother. Then, with visualization. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) PHAṬ! Recitation etc. should be done according to the instruction manual. When concluding the session, the Lama comes from his own crown and dwells in the heart. The Brahma hole is blocked by the center of various vajras. Recite and contemplate in this way. May all beings, through this virtue, complete the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. May we attain the two supreme accomplishments arising from merit and wisdom. This is easy, you requested it downwards from the sayings of Vajradhara Jnana-karuna, the author is Maitri Karma Guna. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) Sarva dā maṅgalaṃ! May all be auspicious! The lineage of this instruction is: like the lineage prayer of Zims-og Vajradhara Jampa Tenzin Trinle Yan-ngak Don. Then Yongzin Lama Jampa Trinle Yonten. Zims-og Tulku Rinpoche Jampa Tenzin Nyendrak. He gave it to me, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. The Phowa practice guidance "The Iron Hook that Urges Goodness and Leads to Liberation" composed by Rongton Thamsed Khyenpa is present. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Meaning) Om Svasti! Born from the play of the three secrets of the Loving Protector, the Lord of Speech, the Sakya lineage, the great holder of the doctrine whose view is without error, may Rongton's emanation, whose name is Trinle, be victorious. The nectar essence of his oral instructions, in order to slightly display the virtuous deeds, in order to adorn the throat of speech, this is well spoken for the sake of ability. After praising in this way, here is the Phowa instruction given by Omniscient Rongton Chenpo to his mother, especially

Furthermore, to explain the stages of visualization in concise language, there are two aspects: practicing oneself, and the method of bestowing it upon others once proficient. Firstly: A practitioner who has perfectly received the transmission and guidance of this Dharma, in a secluded place, with a pure mind, enters retreat and sits on a comfortable cushion. Initially, visualize: In the sky in front of oneself, the root and lineage gurus are assembled like a crowd, facing oneself and abiding. From the depths of one's heart, pray to them, reciting once the lineage supplication such as "Compassionate Protector, Second Rongton Chökyi Je." Then, focus attention on one's dwelling and so forth, visualizing them all naturally disappearing like a rainbow dissolving into the sky, transforming into emptiness. Within this state of emptiness, visualize the ground where one is situated becoming vast and expansive, like the expanse of the three thousand great thousand worlds. The entire foundation below is a level ground of lapis lazuli, like the palm of a hand. Upon it are drawn patterns of many eyes made of gold, which sink when pressed, rise when lifted, and create comfort when touched. Surrounding it is a palace made of various jewels, perfectly possessing all characteristics. In the center of the palace, oneself appears in the form of an ordinary being. To the right is one's father of this life, to the left is one's mother of this life, in front are enemies, and behind and all around are all sentient beings of the six realms and the intermediate state, a dense, dark mass. In the sky in front of oneself, upon a jeweled throne supported by lions, covered with various lotuses and sun discs, one's kind root guru appears in the form of Vajradhara, with a blue-colored body, one face, and two arms crossed at the heart holding a vajra and bell, possessing the attire of the Sambhogakaya. In his heart are all the Buddhas, his speech is all the Dharma, and his body is the essence of the assembled Sangha, visualizing as the all-encompassing jewel. Among these, when reciting "I," visualize oneself; when reciting "sentient beings of space," and so forth, visualize all sentient beings; when reciting "from this time forth," and so forth, visualize taking refuge from now until attaining enlightenment; when reciting "Glorious and precious lama," and so forth, focus attention on the heart of the lama Vajradhara, praying for him to be one's guide; when reciting "Perfectly complete Buddha," and so forth, also focus attention on his heart, praying for him to be one's teacher, and
