With the eye of wisdom, one sees the meaning of the unborn nature of phenomena, hence the name Avalokiteśvara. With the eye of wisdom that purifies the duality of subject and object in the realm of reality, one sees the mind-essence of luminosity free from elaboration, hence the name Avalokiteśvara. Thus, it should be introduced. Third, one should practice the ultimate union of śamatha and vipaśyanā. Since the nature of mind is free from the three—arising, ceasing, and abiding—to rest in a state like the indivisible clarity and emptiness of the sky is śamatha. Seeing and knowing its nature is vipaśyanā. Moreover, the union of śamatha and vipaśyanā in the state of mind being free from the two extremes is that mind is free from the extreme of permanence because it is unborn; it is free from the extreme of annihilation because it is unceasing; it is free from the extreme of permanence because its nature abides in emptiness; it is free from the extreme of annihilation because it knows and perceives various manifestations clearly; it is free from the extreme of permanence because the essence of mind is not established as color and shape; it is free from the extreme of annihilation because its nature is luminosity; it is free from the extreme of annihilation because the three kāyas are spontaneously accomplished. The essence of mind is empty, selfless, and beyond intellect, thus free from the extreme of permanence; its potential manifests in various ways, thus free from the extreme of existence. Therefore, since it transcends the extremes of permanence, annihilation, and conceptual grasping, the way to practice the union of indivisible clarity, awareness, and emptiness is as follows: resting the mind on the accumulation of skillful means and merit, which is like an illusion, is śamatha; knowing and seeing that these are empty because they lack inherent existence is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on the yoga of the guru with devotion is śamatha; seeing the essence of that mind as emptiness beyond intellect is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on the generation stage, which is like a reflection of the moon in water, is śamatha; seeing its nature as emptiness is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on all appearances as the mind's own manifestation, like a reflection of the moon in water, is śamatha; seeing dependent arising as unborn, and appearance and emptiness as indivisible, is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on the great bliss that is the ultimate of the path is śamatha; seeing that it is free from attachment and is emptiness is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on the luminosity of the nature of mind is śamatha; seeing its essence as simplicity and emptiness is vipaśyanā. Resting the mind on pristine awareness without fabrication is śamatha; seeing selflessness and awareness-emptiness as indivisible is vipaśyanā. In short.

Appearances are like reflections of the moon in water and images in a mirror, and like echoes, there is no emptiness other than that. There is no appearance other than emptiness. Having realized that appearance and emptiness are inseparable, like a rainbow appearing in the sky, and abiding in that nature, it is called the union of calm and insight. Thus, the instructions for the union of calm and insight in the completion stage are given. Third, practicing the illusory body during the daytime, which has four aspects: First, the preliminary practice for the illusory body is to accumulate the Kusulu accumulation. Visualize a white wisdom dakini in the sky above your crown chakra, holding a curved knife in her right hand and a skull cup filled with blood in her left, standing in a dancing posture, adorned with jewels and bone ornaments. Visualize the nature of your own consciousness transforming into a white "A" (藏文:ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) and residing in the secret place. It shoots out from the Brahma aperture at the crown of your head like a shooting star and dissolves into the heart of the goddess. Then, you transform into a wisdom dakini and manifest three skull tripods in front of you. On top of them, place a kapala cut from your forehead, white on the outside and red on the inside, clear and vast as three thousand worlds. Chop the flesh and blood of your body into pieces and put them inside. Light a fire underneath. All the flesh and blood melt into nectar, shining white. Again, recite "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽), blessing it into wisdom nectar. Visualize "Hrih" (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) at your heart. From it, radiate countless rays of light, like lassos and hooks, striking all the root and lineage gurus of the ten directions, the deities of the four tantras, the Buddhas, the Dharma, the Sangha, the dakinis, the Dharma protectors, and all sentient beings of the six realms. Touching them, all beings transform into great compassion, and from their hearts, draw them in with light and invite them to the mouth in front of you. Visualize the nectar flowing continuously, filling your body with uncontaminated bliss. Visualize reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the root and lineage gurus, reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the yidam deities, reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the Buddhas, reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the Dharma, reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the Sangha, reciting "Om Ah Hum" (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ओम् आः हुम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡啊吽) into the mouths of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and into the mouths of the heroes and dakinis.
