Arising. Meditate on the manifestation of the four bodies. Third, the empowerment of syllables as the basis is: The syllables and cushions of the four places of the Lama are completely cut off and dissolve into one's own four places, thereby purifying the four obscurations. The four joys arise. Meditate on the manifestation of the four bodies. Fourth, the complete empowerment is: The Lamas gradually dissolve into light and merge into one's own root Lama. Meditate on the inseparability of one's own body, speech, and mind with the body, speech, and mind of the glorious Lama. Possessing the seven dharmas of Vairocana, leaving the body, speech, and mind in an uncorrected state is the Lama Yoga. Through this, blessings quickly enter. The instructions on Lama Yoga are complete. After the preliminary instructions for these are complete, the second is the main practice, which is divided into the generation stage and the completion stage. First, there are three parts. First, the instructions on the body, meditating on the generation stage with the five manifest enlightenments, are: Abiding in the four places of Brahma, reciting "Om Svabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷཿསརྦ་དྷརྨཱཿསྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཤུདྡྷོ྅་ཧཾ།,梵文天城体:ॐ स्वभावशुद्धः सर्वधर्माः स्वभावशुद्धोऽहम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svabhāvaśuddhaḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāvaśuddho'ham,汉语字面意思:嗡,自性清净,一切法,自性清净我)", making all dharmas empty and without self-nature, like the pure expanse of the midday sky. Remaining in a state free from all elaborations is enlightenment in the basic emptiness. From the state of emptiness, from the syllable "Pam (藏文:པཾ་)" arises a lotus with a hundred thousand varieties, and on top of that, from the syllable "Ah (藏文:ཨ་)" arises a full moon disc. Focusing the mind on this is enlightenment on the lotus and moon seat. On top of that, from the white syllable "Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ)" with a tsek-drak, light radiates. Offerings are made to the noble ones. The benefit of sentient beings is accomplished. This is enlightenment on the syllable of speech. From that arises a white lotus, flourishing like a tree trunk, marked in the center with the syllable "Hrih (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ)". Focusing the mind on this is enlightenment on the hand symbol of the mind. From that, dissolving into light, one's own self becomes the noble Avalokiteshvara, the Lord of Compassion, with a body color as white as a snow mountain. One face and four arms. Two legs in the vajra posture. Wearing a lower garment of divine silk and a belt of jewels. The first two hands are joined in prayer at the heart, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, the king of power, between them. The lower right hand holds a white crystal rosary, counting one hundred and eight beads. The lower left hand holds a white lotus, blooming open next to the ear, holding the stem. With a smiling face, long eyebrows and eyes. A wide forehead. Adorned with a white urna hair. Hair parted

Now, partially untie the bonds, letting the remaining strands and the zarbu reach the waist. Within the hair resides the form of Amitabha's emanation. Adorn the head with a five-jeweled crest, and wear earrings and necklaces, armlets, bracelets, and anklets. Adorn with strings of five kinds of pearls and various silks. Meditate on appearances as being without inherent existence, clear like reflections in a mirror. Inscribe the three syllables in the three places (forehead, throat, and heart). From Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) radiate light, inviting the wisdom beings and merging them without separation. If empowerment and sealing are available, perform them. If not, it is permissible not to do them, the Buddha said. This is the attainment of enlightenment in the complete form. Second, reciting mantras, the oral instruction on recitation has four aspects: First, reciting like the outer tantras, when the times of dawn and dusk arrive, focus on the Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrīḥ) at the heart and the body, and recite clearly in a loud voice. Second, reciting like the inner mantras, in the center of the red eight-petaled lotus at the heart, on top of the lunar disc, the white Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrīḥ) with a short vowel mark, surrounded by the six-syllable mantra rotating to the right, from which radiate five kinds of light, filling the inside of the body. The light then radiates outward, striking the outer world. Transforming it into the Sukhavati Pure Land. Striking the inner sentient beings, transforming them into Avalokiteśvara. Contemplate that all beings are reciting the mantra from their mouths, and recite just audibly within the room. This is done twice, in the morning and evening. Third, secret silent recitation, when the times of midday and midnight arrive, recite from the tip of the tongue in a clear state of samadhi. Fourth, suchness recitation, clearly visualize oneself as Avalokiteśvara, from the Hrīḥ (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrīḥ) at the heart radiate light, filling the inside of the body, including all the pores, with the form of the Great Compassionate One. Striking the outer world, transforming it into the Sukhavati Pure Land. Striking the inner sentient beings, transforming all into Avalokiteśvara. In short, visualize all appearing forms as the body of Avalokiteśvara, and clarify all sounds as the six-syllable mantra, then recite with the mind. This is done in the morning and evening. Thus, the oral instruction on reciting mantras is completed. Third, relying on the radiating and gathering of light from the heart.
