Without separating from the clinging to the coarse, one cannot experience the bliss of innate co-emergence. If one does not experience that, how can one be free from suffering? This is the instruction. Regarding the method of relying on it, it is said in the Koka: Outer and inner, vessel and essence, like Brahma, The warmth of time and yogurt, Like oil in oil cake, If you ascertain, it is certain. It is said. Among these, "Outer and inner, vessel and essence, like Brahma," means how the outer, the vessel world, exists and how much it exists, and how the inner, the essence sentient beings, exist. Although these are difficult for others to know, Brahma himself knows all of them completely. Similarly, the nature of the mind, the clear light, pointed out by the lama, must be recognized by oneself as it is. What to do after recognizing? After recognizing, one must rely on one's own continuum. How to rely on it? "The warmth of time and yogurt, Like oil in oil cake." It is said, one must rely on it in this way. Not entering the external grasped object, like the warmth of time, one must rely on the practice of one's own continuum. What is that itself? The warmth of time means that after the new year begins, about three months later, the breath enters the body, and without following the conceptual thoughts of the six consciousnesses, one abides in it. Just like that, the person who relies on the clear light continuum, returns from the conceptual thoughts of the six consciousnesses, and the object itself becomes clear light, one must rely on one's own continuum. Taking yogurt as an example, when yogurt is added to buffalo milk, the milk turns into yogurt, abandoning the nature of milk, no longer being milk, but becoming yogurt. Just like that, for the person in whom the clear light continuum dawns, without abandoning the conceptual thoughts of the six consciousnesses, nor being in accordance with them, the conceptual thoughts of the six consciousnesses are transformed into wisdom, one must rely on one's own continuum. Then, how does one know that the conceptual thoughts of the six consciousnesses are wisdom? "Like oil in oil cake, If you ascertain, it is certain." It means, although it is in the oil cake, it is pervaded by oil. Just like that, the meaning of sentient beings exists in the alaya consciousness, but it is pervaded by the nature of innate clear light. "Ascertain" means without doubt or hesitation.

If one realizes without error, that is the meaning. If one realizes in this way, what is the result? The root meaning of that is what Maripa said: "Unmanifest, invisible, in clarity, it reveals itself like the sky." That is what he said. "Unmanifest, invisible" means that the Dharmakaya, like the nature of the sky, is unmanifest and invisible, because it cannot be examined by any object, non-object, mind, consciousness, or anything arising from consciousness. Therefore, it is said to be unmanifest and invisible. So, if the Dharmakaya has no object, will compassion be interrupted? Therefore, it is said, "In clarity, it reveals itself like the sky." Although the sky itself has no shape, color, or any characteristics, it clearly shows the sun, moon, stars, clouds, fog, rainbows, and so on. Similarly, although the Dharmakaya is unmanifest and unceasing, the continuity of compassion will not be interrupted. The Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya will not cease, and they arise naturally through the power of aspiration. Saraha said: "The body without grasping is extremely beautiful, like a wonderful vase, like a wish-fulfilling jewel." This means that the nature of mind, which has abandoned the thoughts of grasping and being grasped, is extremely beautiful. What is it like? It is as beautiful as a wonderful vase, a wish-fulfilling tree, or a precious jewel. Then, the instructions of the master Virupa are: He spoke of something called an empty city. "The three realms, the three existences, the body, speech, and mind, who is the doer? Ask me. My self does not exist, it does not abide at any extreme." That is what he said. "The three realms, the three existences, the body, speech, and mind" means the three realms of the external world, or the three existences, or the three internal body, speech, and mind, or the cities of the three times, etc., are all empty. So, how is it made empty? The external container is produced by the four elements, and similarly, it arises dependently on what is produced, it is the form of the result. "Body, speech, and mind" means that mind is included in body and speech, and the cities of conceptual thoughts, such as the three times, etc., that arise from mind, are all empty. So, how is this done? "Who is the doer? Ask me," meaning, are their doers made by the four elements? Or by mind?
