Shad de. Remember the reliable and trustworthy lama. Don't allow self-made auspiciousness, and the meaning of showing what is easy to understand for those who want to enter. These eight branches of sound, by knowing the rules of this treatise, should be explained by the wise. Therefore, it is mentioned first. In Tibetan, "zhes pa ni" means to make the incomprehensible understandable, and because it is translated from the Sanskrit language of the gods into one's own language, it is the kindness of the translator. If asked how to translate, from what has been done, "Ratna" (藏文,梵文天城体:रत्न,梵文罗马拟音:ratna,汉语字面意思:宝) means precious, "Mala" (藏文,梵文天城体:माला,梵文罗马拟音:mālā,汉语字面意思:鬘) means garland, "Nama" (藏文,梵文天城体:नाम,梵文罗马拟音:nāma,汉语字面意思:名) means named. Here, the meaning of precious has two aspects: example and meaning. The example is the wish-fulfilling jewel, and if offerings and perfect services are made to that jewel, although there are many qualities, they are said to be summarized into two. It is said that unwanted and discordant things can also be removed, and all desired needs can be fulfilled. Garland means that just as that jewel is strung into a garland, there are numbers and divisions of numbers, and it is wonderful because it makes the meaning understandable to all sentient beings. Similarly, the precious garland of the instructions of the accomplished ones also abandons all discordant sides, and that instruction is endowed with all harmonious qualities, and it exists like the appearance of a strung garland, so it is called a precious garland. Having shown the name with this, now there are two praises of offering: the praise of offering by the compiler Pandit and the praise of offering by the translator Lotsawa. "bcom ldan 'das ngag gi dbang phyug la phyag 'tshal lo" (藏文) means "Homage to the Bhagavan, the Lord of Speech." Bhagavan means having conquered the four maras, namely the mara of afflictions, the mara of aggregates, the mara of death, and the mara of the sons of the gods. The first three cut off life, and the mara of the sons of the gods cuts off special qualities, so they are endowed with conquerors. Also, it is said in the explanatory tantra of the same collection: "Lordship and beauty, glory and fame, wisdom and diligence, are perfectly endowed, and that is called endowed." This is what is said. Lord of Speech means that in the wisdom of equality, which is completely purified of stinginess and pride, one has attained freedom and power, or enjoys it, so it is called Lord.

The prostration is to prostrate to that special place. Who seeks it? It is the gatherer Surya Rasmi himself who seeks it. For what purpose is it sought? It is for the purpose that there be no obstacles to the composition from beginning to end, and that it becomes a branch for introducing other parts. This is its meaning. The second is that the translator pays homage to the tutelary deity. He has shown the offering of praise, and now shows the vow to speak, from "Superior in the Land of Manifest Joy" to "The Jewel Garland shall be spoken," which shows that "Superior in the Land of Manifest Joy." The so-called Manifest Joy is the great charnel ground, the garden of Sama. In what way does it manifest joy? Because it is the place where accomplished ones gather, it is the land where the assembly circles the mandala, so those with karma rejoice merely by hearing or seeing it, hence it is called the Land of Manifest Joy. Superior means gathering in the assembly. Among the one hundred and fourteen accomplished ones, Dharma Dhuma practiced well, which is to practice the spoken Dharma. How to practice? It is said that all that is seen and heard, etc., is not recorded here. Then what is recorded? It is recorded that the Jewel Garland was taught to the Yakshini. What was taught to the Yakshini? In that charnel ground, there was a hungry ghost named Lonang Dukha, who, upon smelling the scent of flesh and blood, could come without hindrance in an instant, even from a hundred yojanas away. At one time, in the northeast of that great charnel ground, there was a large tree with a hollow trunk, in which seven mother bears and cubs lived, always staying there. Once, a very large bull leaned against the tree to sleep, and the tree fell, and the bears living inside also died. The bull also fell there. At that time, the Yakshini found it, killed the bull, and also had bear meat. At that time, from the south of the forest, a Rakshasa named Raksha Koti, smelling the scent of flesh and blood, searched in all directions and corners, and asked the Yakshini for meat, but the Yakshini refused. Then the Rakshasa became angry, and on a large rock in the south, there was a lot of molten copper, and he stole the molten copper and poured it down on the Yakshini from the sky.
