Therefore, by grasping the essentials as much as possible and diligently practicing, all obstacles from above and below will be cleared away. In particular, it generates the heat of the stomach, separates the pure and impure essences of food and elements, eliminates all faults of the channels and winds, and all qualities arise from this. All winds and mind are related to the key points of the channel locations, upper and lower parts, and the restraints and straightness of the fingers, etc. Therefore, it is said that grasping all these key points from beginning to end is very important. In general, body, mind, and wind are interdependent, so if the key point of the body is mistaken, the key point of the wind will also be mistaken. In this regard, if one knows how to sit in the vajra posture well, the downward-clearing secret wind will be restrained. The hands form vajra fists and are placed on the root of the thighs. By straightening the abdomen upright, the wind of equal abiding, which dwells with fire, will be restrained. The arms are extended like the wings of a vulture. Without excessively arching the chest, the life-sustaining water wind will be restrained. By pressing the throat knot with the knees, like a noble horse wearing armor, the upward-moving fire wind will be restrained. Because the overall posture of the body is not mistaken, the pervasive space wind will be restrained. Thus, by restraining the five root winds, which are the nature of the five elements, the five branch winds will also be restrained spontaneously. There, the ten winds are absorbed into the dhūti channel, and by restraining the kunda bodhicitta and the ultimate bodhicitta, non-conceptual samādhi will arise. Because breath escapes from the two channels, generally, bodhicitta will leak. In particular, various thoughts will arise, and the creators of thoughts are the two channels. The flowers of these two are the two eyes, so three types of gazing should be adopted. That is, if the wind and mind rise upwards and are coarse, look downwards. If the bindu moves downwards and is scattered, look upwards. If it is hazy and unclear, or if one cannot distinguish between pure and impure, and if faults like amnesia occur, adopt a straight, clear gaze. Make the winds of the elements stop inside. That is, through such behavioral restraints, by controlling all ten winds, all three—channels, winds, and bindus—are restrained. The sign of this is that one becomes capable of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptual samādhi. As it is said, because the actions of body, speech, and mind are restrained in their own place, by the power of the slightly stable realm bodhicitta, bliss will arise, and various consciousnesses, such as the fleshy eye, will enter into empty forms such as smoke.

is clarity. The consciousnesses of the eye, etc., not engaging with external objects such as forms, etc., is non-conceptualization. At that time, without weariness or fatigue in body and mind, the samadhi of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptualization, is the karma of easily arising through much effort. As it is said: 'When the winds of the elements enter within, signs and qualities arise in sequence.' That is, grasping at reality is the wind of the five elements, and the signs of entering sequentially into the Avadhuti are: through the power of yoga, an illusory form not conceived by the mind arises, or like the appearance of a young girl playing, it is seen in emptiness. Furthermore, when the earth wind enters, it is like smoke; when the water wind enters, it is like a mirage; when the fire wind enters, it is like a firefly; when the wind wind enters, it is like a burning lamp or the light of a lamp. These are the four signs of the night. When the space wind ceases, it is like a cloudless sky. In the Guhyasamaja, it is also said to be five night signs. The signs of the day are like a burning fire, like the appearance of the moon, like the sun, like a vajra or Rahu, being pitch black, like lightning, and various extremely subtle bindus, and in the center of the bindus, the nature of the Sambhogakaya abiding, the Buddha's body is seen. These are the six signs of the day. These are definite signs, while indefinite signs such as pots, woolen cloth, and mountains are inconceivable. All of these are signs of the three deteriorations of body, mind, and dreams. It is said that one must know how to recognize them well. Thus, various appearances of signs must be recognized as the nature of awareness, clarity, and emptiness. All the dharmas of the ground, path, and fruition are not separate from the appearances of one's own mind, and the clear appearance of signs without ceasing is the characteristic of the mind. Its nature abides in emptiness, therefore it is the nature of indivisible appearance and emptiness. Recognize it like the moon in water or like the reflection in a mirror. The measure of accomplishment is bestowing excellent speech, as it is said: 'May fire and demons, etc., be pacified.' Therefore, pacification, etc. Knowing the five faculties and the five objects to be inseparable, the arising of the five Buddha families is the ten signs of meditation. The limbs are wisdom and conceptualization.
