Look without seeing. Then, when looking at the sky, countless signs and appearances of shadows arise in the center of the earth. By meditating on this repeatedly for six months, one will also be able to see treasures and the like underground. Similarly, by practicing at windows and the like in houses, one will also be able to see hidden objects inside the house. Similarly, if the sound of karmic appearances dissolves into the sound of emptiness, and the sound of emptiness is mixed with the sounds of various beings, by remaining in equanimity and meditating for six months, one will attain various kinds of direct perception of the ear. If one focuses on the appearance of emptiness and form within one's own heart, in the vein of the Dharma wheel, like the flowers of a water tree, one will remember past lives. If one transfers that to others, one will know the minds of others. Such as "Turning one's back to the sun," and "Where is the sound, in the direction of the heart," and so on. Combine with the scriptural authority of the tantras. That is the shadow of a deity. Tree shadows, the sound of speech. Focusing on the veins in one's own and others' hearts. These five are minor objects of focus, so they are not counted among the usual rounds of focus. Imprinting the meaning of meditation on the mind, this is one session and so on. With this, the instructions on meditation are complete. For the time being, the practices of life-force exertion and below will not be taught, and if one is content with just that much, then the subsequent instructions should be taken at this time. Secondly, in the intermediate virtuous instructions, there are two divisions: causing the karmic winds to cease in the Avadhuti (藏文:ཨ་ཝ་དྷཱུ་ཏི།,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:,汉语字面意思:), and causing them to dissolve into the indestructible bindu in the central channel. These are the instructions on life-force exertion and the instructions on holding. First, to teach the instructions on life-force exertion, there are the key points of the practice of focus and imprinting the meaning of meditation on the mind. The first is that the limbs of life-force exertion possess the true characteristics, and that which is accomplished by the former, in accordance with life-force exertion, are divided into two. For the time being, we will explain based on the latter. Among them, there are the instructions transmitted from Paṇchen Śākyaśrī, and the instructions of Paṇchen Candragomin, known as the Dro tradition, and the instructions of Mantaśrī of Jowo, known as the Rwa tradition. These three should be taken as the mainstays, and the other scattered traditions are mostly similar to them, and those that have slight differences will also be explained. Among them, in the instructions of Paṇchen Śākyaśrī,

Preliminary Vajra recitation to purify the channels. Having become proficient, by the practice of filling and releasing the gentle wind, cause the life force to enter the central channel. Having entered, by the practice of the coarse wind vase, bind the life force in the central channel. If you try and cannot bind it, by the forceful practice, block the path of the sun and moon. Having blocked it, if the lower gate is forcibly closed, then liberate it with the upper practice. By the practice of using the three tongues, taste the essence of the inner nectar. By the practice of igniting the fierce woman, mix the life force up and down and accomplish immortality, which is called the six Vajra words. Of these, the first four are the instructions for life force exertion, and the latter two are exhausted in the instructions for holding. At this time, this is how it should be done: the actual instructions for life force exertion, along with removing obstacles. Firstly, as the letters of body training and whirling are arranged separately, meditate on these preliminary whirlings as they are. Furthermore, if it is according to the tradition of Panchen Shakya Shri, then it is the first three wind practices mentioned earlier. Among them, the first is to purify the channels with Vajra recitation: The difference in the way of looking is called the way of looking at "eliminating obstacles" or "rotating nectar", looking slightly upward, staring at the space between the eyebrows. Except for special cases, all the ways of looking when holding the life force are definitely this one. From the tantra: "By the view of eliminating obstacles, even by reaching the path of nectar, one can closely accomplish the six branches." The other parts of the body posture are the same as before. Exhale three times. First, focus on the three aspects of the wind going out, coming in, and staying, without distracting the mind. This is the first object of Vajra recitation. Then, visualize the three channels clearly: In the body, the central channel is blue, about the size of a medium arrow shaft, with the upper end inserted into the crown of the head, and the lower end located at the navel. To its right is the red Rasana channel, and to the left is the white Lalana channel, both of which are many times thinner than the central channel. Imagine them merging with the central channel. When exhaling, starting from the navel, go out from the two channels, the central channel and the Rasana channel. All parts of the two channels from the throat to the crown of the head come out. Imagine it going out from the nostrils. When inhaling, enter from the nostrils, from the crown of the head.
