Such is the nature of the earth, it is impossible to see the Buddha, like the horn of a rabbit. Attachment to mere imputation binds, bound before, still bound now, not attaining liberation, bound in the bardo. Therefore, appearances are merely imputed, do not be attached to imputed dharmas, do not be attached to appearances, dispel the extreme of permanence. Do not make emptiness in the mind, dispel the extreme of annihilation, be free from hope and fear. Emaho! Permanently unattainable, there is no real thing, annihilation unattainable, everything is clear, self-empty, self-luminous, definitely without a maker. The second branch, which cannot be held by an antidote, is complete. This instruction of the two, mother and son, called "Cutting the Demon's Territory," is the essence of the wise, the liberation path of the fortunate. The danger is great wrong views, the enemy is harm from broken vows, the poison is great self-grasping thought, therefore, look at the meaning of the instruction, there is nothing to see in the meaning of the Buddha, contemplate the meaning of sentient beings, there is nothing to meditate on without thought, cut off the root of thought. There is no intention of "this is it," just put it in "it seems," the appearance of the dharma is just for a while, the true dharma is beyond mind. Having cut off pride, pride arises again, therefore, when pride arises, do not be angry, if you cherish it, it is like a poisonous snake. Letting go in a relaxed place, not calculating is the best of conduct, if you do not calculate appearances, then it is bound by true calculation. Not knowing what is lost when calculating, therefore, cherish the oral instruction, make effort in true nature, like a traveler going back on the road. Clinging to appearances, being proud of the mere mind, he is bound by the unobstructed demon, know that the self-demon arises from oneself. Do not be attached to appearances, do not meditate on emptiness, do not like companions, stay alone, if you examine your own qualities, it is a fault. All kinds of thoughts are false, do not trust them, all yogis, if you do not trust thoughts, the effortless Dharmakaya will naturally arise. The dharma that has been done and the wealth that has been accumulated, accompanying after death is just empty talk, therefore, now it is right to decide, everyone thinks they will not die, if not, why not make effort? The third branch, which is accompanied by effort, is complete. This instruction of the two, mother and son, if spoken in words, is just words, if practiced, it cuts off all demons, deception.

All the gods and demons disturb, accomplishments arise from demons and nagas, patrons are made by demons and kings, no matter what kind of calamities arise, taking them as companions is the supreme instruction. There is no duality in the cause of the mind, the two thoughts of good and evil, they do not recognize the true meaning, being divided into two is confusing, both good and evil are empty in nature. Meditate on that emptiness on top of the original emptiness, that is empty by meditating without meaning, if it arises from arrogance, then the key instruction deceives with life. Not meditating on emptiness, free from grasping at reality, that is unadulterated great bliss. Saying self-awareness, but the mind is on others, how can self-liberation arise from thought? If there is no thought about the meaning, awareness is without support, free from arrogance, if you know that the support is empty in its own nature, the support and the supported are equal and non-dual. Gods are also mind, demons are also mind, the essence is not established, transcending the mind. Just as one cannot see one's own face, how can the mind see the mind? Undifferentiated ignorance is without arrogance, it is merely labeled as Buddha. Who names sentient beings as Buddha without seeing them? Sentient beings have nothing to look at in the mind, because there is nothing to look at, it is just Buddha. The five poisons are inherently non-existent, they are merely labeled as wisdom, knowing it is a label, one will realize and meditate, think and speak, do not have great expectations, without thought, without hope, free from arrogance, then there is no doubt about becoming a Buddha. Abandoning things, wanting emptiness, not realizing is pitiful and sad, if even emptiness is not grasped, what need is there to say about grasping at things.
