These are the greatnesses of them. The first is: Practitioners of superior, intermediate, and inferior levels. (Thus it is said). Secondly, there are three: the instructions for those of superior, intermediate, and inferior faculties. The first is: to accept the state of non-remembering. The second is: to focus on that and meditate. The third is: to examine, analyze, and ascertain. Those of superior faculties, realizing that the appearance of objects is emptiness, remain in the state of remembering the Buddha. Those of intermediate faculties, knowing that the appearance of objects is mind, focus on the mind and meditate. Those of inferior faculties, through the eight similes of illusion, etc., ascertain that the appearance of objects has no inherent existence, and thus train in not generating attachment and aversion. The third greatness is: For example, like a dense forest, and a person with strength, and a sharp axe. The objects to be cut are vast and numerous, so it is like a dense forest. The cutter has experiential realization, like a person with strength. The profound instruction for cutting is like a sharp axe. Therefore, if one has diligence, even a small antidote can destroy a great object to be abandoned. Secondly, regarding the unobstructed demon, there are two: identifying the demon to be cut, and the instruction for cutting it. The first is: boasting of the magical powers of gods and demons, which is called the beginningless demon. Here there are two: the inner demon of afflictions and the outer demon of gods and demons. The first (inner demon) has been shown above, and this is the outer demon, which is shown along with the demon of boasting. Secondly, there are six: subduing a fierce spirit with a fierce spirit, establishing moxibustion like a needle, the practice of Dharma, placing under the thicket of great stars, abandoning closeness and distance to both gods and demons, and entrusting the great fierce spirit to the borderlands. The first is: subduing a fierce spirit with a fierce spirit, upon flesh (subduing a fierce spirit). The second is: establishing moxibustion like a needle. These are all circumambulations of mountains, and they are practiced by three wise ones. The first is taught by those who are skilled in laying the foundation. Thirdly: taking refuge in the Three Jewels. Ascertaining with wisdom, practicing remembering the Buddha is taking refuge, mixing emptiness and awareness, dividing into sessions and meditating, is the actual practice. Fourthly: placing under the thicket of great stars. Making the body the abode of demons and acting with a mind of suppression is explained through examples. Fifthly: abandoning closeness and distance to both gods and demons.

Pangs. Instructions on meditating on the inseparability of Pangs and relatives. Sixth: Direct the great affliction to the limit. It shows the limits of outer, inner, and secret at the time of begging. Third, the limit of cutting: If you cut, the limit of cutting is free from fear. These are the temperatures at which you gain confidence in your practice. Fourth, the measure of completion: The measure of completion is that miracles are self-pacified. It shows the common, the special, and the supreme measure of completion. Miracles and signs of begging, etc., are supplemented from below. In between, it is the practice of being skilled in taking the path. Fifth, the time of reversal is when the measure of reversal is to run away in fear and panic. It shows the causes of reversal, such as the transformation of oneself and others by gods and demons. Sixth, the method of not reversing is like a closed door that does not reverse. Even if you are afraid and panicked, do not run away. No matter what fear and panic arise, put death on top of it. Seventh, reverse suppression: Reverse suppression is like a nail. Bow down and be diligent in it. That is the sacred instruction. It is a special method of transforming obstacles into accomplishments by accepting unfavorable sides. These are the practices of being skilled in cutting off the end. After the method of cutting off the two demons is gone, the second reason for the arising of demons is threefold. It shows the identification of demons, the instructions for cutting them off, and the signs of begging. First: By meditating on the non-dual perfection of wisdom, the gods and demons of the world cannot bear it. Various kinds of miracles, manifest glory, dreams, etc. By meditating on the profound path, miracles come because its glory cannot be borne. It is not that it will not beg if you do not make a rough focus. Also, various kinds of mirages and shadows, and the arising of outer, inner, and secret begging are summarized by life. Second, there are Three: superior, medium, and inferior faculties. First: For all of them, the best practice is to place them in the meaning of non-duality. Second: The medium directs the mind to it and meditates. Third: The inferior throws the aggregates as food. Those three miracles to be cut off are practiced by the three methods of cutting off the path. The best is not to focus on the gods and demons who show miracles and the yogi as two. The medium directs the mind to mixing without separation. The inferior throws the aggregates as food.
