Now, transcending the calculations of self-liberation. When the realization of the inseparability of the expanse and awareness, the meaning of emptiness of dharmata, arises in the continuum, all phenomena gathered by the consciousness of the five sense faculties, the objects, forms, etc., appear as emptiness. At times, even if coarse afflictions of deluded habits arise, they transform into arising and liberation simultaneously. Therefore, one does not engage in the actions of afflictions, nor accumulate karma, etc. Although grasping and the grasped appear, they are subtle because they cannot perform the function of grasping and the grasped. Transcending the calculations of hope and fear, this will occur. As it says in the Sutra of Great Secret Skillful Means: "Son of lineage, it is like seeds completely burned by fire, whose color is not completely damaged, but there is no chance for sprouts to arise. Similarly, when the afflictions of a Bodhisattva are completely burned by emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, selflessness, and the perfection of wisdom, then he can completely enjoy the qualities of desire and all joys, but he will not cling to the completely afflicted afflictions that lead to falling into wrong paths, nor will he be completely damaged from the color of the Buddha." Thus it is said. Secondly, if one realizes in this way, in dharmata, it becomes abiding, appearing, and liberating. It is like going to a golden island. Abiding in the state of realizing dharmata like an ocean, whatever thoughts arise, they will self-liberate like raindrops, so no other antidote is needed. Everything appears as dharmata, just as one cannot find mud and stones on a precious golden island, one cannot find bad thoughts. The third example and meaning is: even if the life force of a person is cut, there is no need to specifically close the doors of the senses such as the eyes. Similarly, if the mind is cut, one will be able to realize that all phenomena are empty. In the above sutra, the mind is said to be the root of both samsara and nirvana. If its root is cut, it is like cutting the root of a tree. The so-called 'one birth, one cut' and these two have the same meaning, the example and meaning are easy to understand. At this time, from the Bka' tshoms, it is said that not clinging to the three doors of body, speech, and mind is the body, speech, and mind of the Buddhas. The three, appearance, sound, and awareness, are also said to be the body, speech, and mind of the mind. Moreover, due to the unsurpassed secret mantra, the essence of the mantra vows is body, speech, and mind.

The explanation for protecting the name of the Vajra Samaya is understood as the two points being the same. In mantra, it is the way to practice the path from the very beginning practitioner, but here there is a difference in the understanding of the qualities of realization. Fourth, the definitive word for becoming 'cutting' from that is: Cutting the root of mind-essence, cutting the five poisons of affliction, the activity of contemplating the extremes of views, the cowardice of conduct, hope and doubt, and all arrogance are cut off, hence it is called the definitive word of 'cutting'. The root of the mind's fault is self-grasping. In the Compendium, it says: 'Cutting off the great views of sentient beings' realms.' And the five poisons such as desire, the clinging to the extremes of views, the mental activity of contemplation, the cowardice of conduct, the attachment of hope and doubt of the fruit are cut off. Cutting off attachment, all those who cut off attachment are considered to have fierce attachment. And cutting off the unfavorable aspects of the path, such as generosity, etc., in the Tantra it says: 'The generosity of the Bodhisattva cuts off the hungry ghost realm, poverty and likewise all afflictions are cut off.' The four maras such as arrogance, cut off all causes of suffering. In the Tantra it says: 'The Great Vehicle cuts off suffering.' These are named after the function of the Perfection of Wisdom, and are the connection between name and meaning spoken of in the Sutras and Tantras, not like unspoken random talk. Fifth, abandoning the unfavorable aspects of the path has three parts: identifying the two maras and the method of cutting them off, the reason for the arising of maras, and showing the method of subduing maras. The first has seven parts: the maras with obstacles, the maras without obstacles, the signs of cutting, the extent of exhaustion, the time of reversal, the method of non-reversal, and the instruction like a reversing suppressing peg. The first has two parts: the object to be cut, and the instruction for cutting. The first is: the maras with obstacles of manifest attachment, hatred, and clinging. If asked how to cut them off? The five objects of desire such as form are with obstacles. If the mind is attached and clinging to them, the arising of the three poisons and five poisons is a mara, which cuts off the life of liberation. This and the mara with obstacles from the aspect of the object, and the arising of afflictions in the mind is the mara without obstacles, therefore, the two maras have the same basis. The second has three parts: the characteristics of the person, the actual instruction.
