Furthermore, one should encourage him through common means. The second is to speak of the excellent conformity of the six pāramitās. This is the method for purifying one's own continuum and maturing others, which is the essence of the bodhisattva vows, based on abandoning harm to others in the precepts of bodhicitta, and accomplishing as much benefit as possible. The practice of the six pāramitās with eight meanings has been explained elsewhere. The third is to abandon the arrogant mind that is incompatible with it: those who engage in virtuous actions such as the six pāramitās turn away from virtue due to the arising of arrogance. This shows the interruption of virtuous actions, but this is not turning away from the path of enlightenment, which is the union of the two accumulations, but rather aiming only at the high status of this life and the rank of gods and humans in the next life, and practicing virtuous aspirations, which is an obstacle to enlightenment, so one should turn away from that. Furthermore, the arising of arrogance is the demon of joy, so it should be abandoned. The fourth is the fault of not understanding the meaning of the Middle Way, free from extremes: if one does not understand the meaning of the non-dual pāramitā, that is, not understanding being free from the extremes of taking and rejecting good and evil, hoping and doubting, then even if one performs conditioned virtuous actions, one will not be liberated in this very life. This shows liberation from all the stains of the previous and subsequent two. The ultimate truth is being free from all grasping of duality, such as objects and subjects. Until one understands this, no matter how much virtue one practices, one will not attain liberation. Therefore, knowing that all dualities, such as taking and rejecting good and evil, and hoping and doubting samsara and nirvana, are not established in reality, is liberation from all. The fifth is abandoning the poison of fixation: therefore, for conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, and all white and black phenomena, one should not fixate on even a particle. All these phenomena of samsara and nirvana that appear as the objects of conventional mind are merely dependent arising, and apart from that, not even a particle of true existence can be found in reality, therefore it is emptiness beyond the mind. As the noble Nagarjuna said: Whatever is dependent arising is considered to be emptiness. Therefore, one should not fixate on emptiness, view, or ultimate truth. Through familiarizing oneself with the habit of emptiness, one can gradually eliminate the habit of substantiality, and through familiarizing oneself with saying that there is nothing, eventually one can also

will become. As Shantideva said. Sixth, the example of the five perfections of means that must precede is: However, without relying on means, wisdom will not manifest. If there is no prior cultivation, crops will not grow. Finally, liberation from everything is just liberation from attachment. It is not that one does not accumulate the merit of the two accumulations, the basis is the union of the two truths, the path is the union of the two accumulations, the result is the union of the two bodies. Relying on the conventional Bodhicitta, the means of the accumulation of merit is taken as the close cause, and the accumulation of wisdom is taken as the common condition, thereby generating the qualities of the ten grounds, and finally obtaining the Form Body. Relying on the ultimate Bodhicitta, the accumulation of wisdom and wisdom is taken as the close cause, and the accumulation of merit is taken as the common condition, thereby generating the qualities of the five paths, and finally obtaining the Dharma Body. It should be understood like worldly cultivation and harvest, and these two paths of definite means, and the path of definite wisdom that will appear below, should be practiced in union. There are eight points to practicing definite wisdom: except for the Perfection of Wisdom, the five alone cannot accomplish the path; and it has it itself, it is not other causes; remembering the Buddha; the true intention of the Buddha; the method of realizing it; the place of practice; the method of how to practice; and the benefits of practicing in this way. The first point is: If the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom is not definitely used, even if generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, and meditation are practiced, it is like a blind person losing his guiding stick, how can he find the clue of the road? The five, such as generosity, are taken by the accumulation of merit, if the eye of wisdom is lacking, it will not become the path of union, so it cannot reach the city of great liberation. The second point is: The meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom. This verse seems to be missing in the commentary, because this treatise has fifty verses, but there is one more verse, so it is like this. However, because it seems helpful for understanding, it has been retained. From other places, the lake itself has, it is not composed of entity and characteristics.
