Some yogis asked for instructions, and he said these words. Homage to the Guru). To the one father, the supreme lama, Pray constantly without interruption. Transform the minds of myself and my disciples towards the Dharma, Bless us to realize the mind as vast as the sky. Now is the time when all favorable conditions are met, And I have met a qualified master, At this time when I have received the profound nine instructions, I must not let it be in vain. For the body composed of flesh and blood, The idea of permanence is not reliable, Do not postpone virtuous deeds, Put them into practice immediately. For those who are empty talkers without experience, Hanging the banner of emptiness on their mouths, There is a danger of becoming engulfed in black karma. Paying close attention to cause and effect is very important. Devotion and longing should be constant, Make diligent prayers to the lama. But do not cling to it as real, The lama is not separate from one's own mind. Wandering in samsara due to not knowing one's own face, Unfeigned compassion is very important. For those deceived by unreal illusions, View all happiness and suffering as like a dream. This ordinary mind of oneself, Without alteration, is the Dharmakaya. Whatever thoughts arise, Understand them as like water and waves. However subtle or coarse the behavior may be, Do not be false or secretive, It is important that it accords with the Dharma. Meditation that contradicts the Dharma, phat! It's useless! Continuous and unbroken meditation, Non-doing and non-action are very important. That too, should be maintained with effortless mindfulness. If left unattended, it will be terrible! The result, this self-mind becoming Buddha, Is primordially empty from the beginning, Without falling into the abyss of hope and fear, One needs a definite conviction of understanding. Whatever appears is the Dharmakaya, Without biased distinctions, But false pure appearances will deceive oneself. Please hold the lineage of the lama. Thus it is said. For a while, while residing in Tsang Gyo Ru, all appearances arose as teachers of introduction, so he sang this vajra song. Om, may there be well-being). I am an impartial yogi, At a time when the flowers are in bloom. In the auspicious and flourishing Gyo Ru (gyo ru) region, The kindness of the lama is remembered in my heart. From beginningless samsara in the past, I have wandered until now. In short, samsara is bottomless.

In this boundless expanse, A precious jewel that leads sentient beings to Buddhahood. Though parents of the six realms are deeply kind, They are not the sole helpers to escape samsara. There is no one to facilitate the ultimate resolution, The heart's resolution is only reported to the Lord. This body, a collection of flesh and blood, Has no certainty as to when it will perish. All those who wander aimlessly after death, I pray that this awareness be drawn within. Now, fearing death, I seek a Lama, Striving to practice with all my might. Even if I die at this moment, my mind is at ease, Isn't it necessary to have a mind of complete peace? The changing of the four seasons is one, The ups and downs of wealth and poverty are two, The transformations of countries and regions are three, A teacher who demonstrates the impermanence of conditioned things is present. Farming that yields no harvest is one, Nurturing that is met with ingratitude and wrong actions is two, Drinking salty water that never satisfies is three, A teacher who demonstrates meaninglessness is present. The hustle and bustle of city life is one, The busy but insignificant actions of bees are two, The scattering of white, misty clouds is three, An introduction that shows the insecurity of samsara is present. The rainbow that appears but has no form is one, The echoing sound that is empty and without focus is two, The dream in which joy and sorrow arise, though it is unreal, is three, A teacher who shows that appearances are one's own mind is present. External appearances are like the illusion of a magic wheel is one, Internal awareness is like the arising of thoughts in the mind is two, The inexpressible emptiness of the essence is three, Like pouring water into water, they are indivisible as one. In general, when even a little experience arises, Whatever appears is an introduction. Whatever actions are done by the three doors are a display. Thinking of this meaning, alala! Now, this little bit of remaining life, Is spent on practice and accomplishment, Occupying a solitary mountain retreat, Turning whatever arises into the path. The precious and kind Lama, Has blessed me immeasurably in the past, I pray that you continue to bless me now. There is no other refuge but you, Lord of Dharma! Taranatha, seeing the changes in the kingdom, sang this song as if it were an introduction arising in his mind.
