Up to the point of union at the secret place. Then, meditate clearly and vividly on the knees, ankles, and toes up to the nails. This is the father's outer practice. Then again, from Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning: 吽) a blue light arises. Descending from the aperture of Brahma, it turns the nose and throat blue. Then, meditate on the heart center, navel, secret place, knees, ankles, and the inside of the toes as being blue and of the nature of light. This is the father's inner practice. Similarly, at the hairline on the crown of the mother's head, visualize a red Vaṃ (Tibetan: བཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वं, Sanskrit Romanization: vaṃ, Literal Chinese Meaning:വം) emitting red light. From that, red light arises and purifies the mother's outer and inner aspects as before. In particular, meditate on the bhaga and breasts as being vividly red, which is to clarify the color. Then, starting from the center of the father's eyes, gradually clarify the matted hair, the way the vajra and bell are held, the four fangs bared in the mouth, the gait of the feet, the graceful posture, the flames, etc., one by one, which is to meditate on the form. Similarly, meditate on the mother's form one by one. Then, visualize the jewel on the father's crown, the half-moon, the various vajras, the wheel, the earrings, the necklace, the bracelets, the belt, the great ashes, i.e., the six bone ornaments, and the dry and wet human head ornaments and necklaces. For the mother, visualize the five bone ornaments excluding the great ashes, the dry human head ornaments and necklaces, etc., in sequence, which is to clarify the ornaments. Visualize both the father and mother as being luminous with the nature of clarity, emptiness, and great bliss united. That is, from the aspect of clarity, they are unmixed and completely perfect; from the aspect of emptiness, contemplate them as the nature of light that does not inherently exist anywhere. Meditate with firm conviction that this, in this way, is merely one's own mind appearing as the deity's form, and that it is not truly established as an external object separate from that, like a dream and the moon in water. Just as in a dream, various places are dreamed of, but the places do not come here, nor does one's own mind go there. Due to the mind being obscured by sleep, the mind itself appears in various ways, but apart from that, there is no true establishment, as can be understood from the moon in water. Similarly, one's own mind is clear light, the deity's form is extremely clear, where does it come from? Where does it go? Where does it abide? If investigated, it does not come from anywhere, nor does it go anywhere, nor does it

Decide that the non-abiding is the union of clarity and emptiness, free from the extremes of elaboration. Such a mind of one's own, inseparable from the deity's form, has not been seen by the Buddhas of the past. Those who have not come will not see it either. Those of the present also have not seen it, so meditate in this way. Second, the main part: Meditating on this mind, whose nature of clarity and emptiness is not established, as immortal. There are four objects of immortality. First: Thus, that clear and empty mind of one's own, unseen by the Buddhas of the three times, does not have illness. The appearance of illness is an appearance corrupted by the sudden afflictions of one's own mind. In ultimate truth, there is no cause for illness. Because there is no cause, there is also no result of illness, so think in this way. Realize and meditate that the mind is without illness. Second: Such a mind does not have death. Death is merely a label for the appearance of separation between this physical body and sudden thoughts. If examined and analyzed, meditate until you are certain that it is emptiness, which is not truly in any place separate from the object and subject of transference. Third: If you look at such a mind to see whether there is a cause for becoming a Buddha, there is no cause for becoming a Buddha. The nature of the mind at the time of sentient beings and at the time of becoming a Buddha are inseparable in luminous emptiness. The pure nature of the mind, free from all sudden stains, is merely given the name Buddha, so meditate in this way. Fourth: If you think about the nature of such a deity's form, the clear and empty mind of one's own, samsara is not established. Because samsara is not truly established, the one who wanders in samsara is not established, so meditate on the appearance of the delusion of samsara in one's own mind until you are certain. Third, the conclusion: Thus, decide that your own mind is immortal, generate certainty, and meditate without distraction. Pray to the lama, meditate on compassion for sentient beings, and dedicate the merit to perfect enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings to increase it. Even those who have committed the five inexpiable sins will attain enlightenment at the time of death or in the bardo. If the obscurations are small and you have the fortune, let alone constant meditation, even if you clearly visualize the complete form or just a part of it at the time of death, it is like the rotation of a cannonball, or like throwing a stone into a clear pond, or like the aging sun and the rising moon on the fifteenth day.
