Having become accustomed to something like a ball, once one is able to expand and contract, then gradually teach others as well, from the coarse earth element like a mountain, to the subtle earth element like a pebble or dust particle. Teach from the coarse water element like rivers and lakes, to the subtle water element like a drop of water. Teach from the coarse fire element like a great fire, to the subtle fire element like a spark. Teach from the coarse wind element like a great whirlwind, to even the subtle movement of breath of a tiny creature. Here, the "four elements" refers to all inanimate matter, and it is training in all that is contained by the outer vessel. This is the twenty-seventh contemplation round. The second is training in subtle and coarse sentient beings: the preliminary is the same as before. If one sees something like a person on a pillar in front of oneself, (thinking) I have fallen asleep, this seems like a dream apparition of a person, (then thinking) expand, expand, expanding from one, two, three to ten, and contracting as before, etc. Representing all sentient beings actually seen, such as horses, cattle, etc., train from coarse horses, cattle, etc., to subtle insects. This is the twenty-eighth contemplation round. The second is training in what to subdue, divided into mundane subduing and supramundane subduing. The first is expanding into mundane subduing, which is mainly training in the form of animals. Training in inanimate objects such as fire and water is also training, such as expanding and transforming water as the antidote to fire. For example, if one sees something like a mouse in front of oneself, (thinking) this is a dream mouse, it is necessary to expand a subduer to subdue it, then a cat appears, thinking that it has subdued the mouse. Then (thinking) expand, expand, expanding many cats to do the contemplation of subduing. Similarly, one should also apply it to things like a bird and a hawk, a dog and a wolf, other wild animals and a tiger, a tiger and a lion, a lion and a fire, fire and water, a person and a rakshasa, etc. This is the twenty-ninth contemplation round. The second is expanding into supramundane subduing: if oneself or another is harmed by a demon, a wrathful king appears in front of oneself, who binds the harmful demon with a lasso, treads on it with his feet, and cuts it with weapons.

and burning them with fire, and frightening them into unconsciousness by uttering loud mantras, etc., with various methods, thinking of completely destroying them so that they would never rise again. Also, think of subduing them by multiplying such wrathful deities. In this regard, any wisdom wrathful deity can subdue all kinds of demons, but if we differentiate according to the main object to be subdued, Hayagriva (རྟ་མགྲིན།) is for subduing kings and tyrants, Vajrapani (ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ།) is for subduing upper demons, Garuda (བྱ་ཁྱུང༌།) is for subduing earth lords, nagas, and general evil spirits, Manjushri Nagaraja (འཇམ་དཔལ་ནཱ་ག་རཀྵ།) is for subduing nagas and rakshasas, Acala (མི་གཡོ་བ།) is for subduing obstacles from demons, Ushnishachakravartin (གཙུག་ཏོར་འཁོར་ལོས་སྒྱུར་བ།) is for subduing curses, and praise to Manjushri Vajrabhairava is for subduing all demons in general. This is the thirtieth contemplation. Fourth, in the instruction on transforming in dreams, there are two types: transforming to encounter and transforming to subdue. First, transforming to encounter is divided into transforming into subtle and gross elements, and transforming into subtle and gross sentient beings. The first is: In the preliminary stage, pray for blessings to be able to transform in dreams. Change the ending like this, and the rest is the same as before. If you see something like a lump of earth in front of you, think, "I have fallen asleep. This appearance of earth is the earth of a dream. I must also transform into a lump of earth like this," and generate the intention. Immediately, you yourself become such a lump of earth. Meditate a little, thinking, "This is just a dream." Then interrupt it, turn your eyes to something else, and let your mind wander, strongly generating the intention of a dream. Meditate by repeating this again and again. By analogy, apply this to all other subtle and gross elements. This is the thirty-first contemplation. Second, transforming into subtle and gross sentient beings can also be explained by analogy with the previous methods. If you see a person in front of you, think, "Alas, this is a person in a dream. I must also transform into such a person." Immediately, visualize yourself becoming that person. Hold your mind a little, accompanied by the intention of a dream. Then interrupt it and think, "This is a dream." Repeat this process. The method of applying this to other creatures is the same as before. This is the thirty-second contemplation. Second, transforming to subdue has two types: mundane and supramundane. The first is: The rest is the same as before.
