Practicing Illusion. First: In terms of its essence, it does not truly exist for even a moment. In terms of its illusory appearance, it seems to appear in various ways, so this appearance that is not true, and the sprout that grows from warmth, moisture, and seed. Branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits ripen, then wither with the seasons. Summer melts, winter freezes, gradually changing. In terms of its essence, it does not truly exist. In the winter of southern Jambudvipa, it is summer in northern Uttarakuru. At midday in Jambudvipa, it is midnight in Uttarakuru. For example, years, days and nights, happiness and suffering alternate. It seems that the sun rises and sets in all four continents in fixed directions. What is east for one is west for another. What is above for one is below for another, and so it goes for all. In terms of its essence, it does not truly exist for even a moment. In terms of its illusory appearance, it seems to appear in various ways. Therefore, this appearance without attachment is the practice of the illusory body. Second: Practicing beings as illusory is practicing both one's own and others' actions as illusory. First: This coarse body of flesh and blood comes from the consciousness of the bardo, and the combination of the parents' sperm and blood. This body of false appearance, assembled from interdependent conditions, if each part is separated and named individually, the basis of the body does not exist. Second: From formation in the mother's womb to aging and death, it gradually changes. Whatever happiness or suffering arises in one's own mind, it cannot last for even a moment. In terms of its essence, it does not truly exist. Third: Practicing the actions of both as illusory is not being ashamed of doing housework, having children, and sexual acts, and feeling shame towards male and female genitals. In terms of its essence, it does not truly exist. Practicing the eight worldly dharmas as illusory is observing whether praise and dispraise, happiness and suffering, pleasant and unpleasant sounds, and fame and anonymity, what is said is established or not. Practicing the pure illusory body as illusory is arranging a thangka of the yidam deity behind oneself, placing a flawless mirror in front, allowing the image to appear, and gradually purifying habitual tendencies. Finally, visualizing all outer and inner phenomena as the yidam, and making aspirations in a state of illusion. The illusion of the completion stage is not cutting off the traces of the past mind, nor welcoming the future, not fabricating the present, not being distracted, the space is clear and empty.

By gazing with single-pointed attention, the winds and mind enter the central channel. When conceptual thoughts subside, experiences of appearances such as smoke, mirages, sparks, lamps or faint light, and cloudless sky, become clear and unobstructed like the moon in water or reflections in a mirror, and one sees the Nirmanakaya with all the marks and signs. Then, the Sambhogakaya, which appears as sound, arises. To purify all dualistic phenomena into illusion, one cultivates stable meditative equipoise and, upon the appearances of subsequent awareness, introduces the view of emptiness and form. Thus, all phenomena that appear dualistically, such as samsara and nirvana, arise as the illusory samadhi of the relative truth of non-dual wisdom. By remaining in equanimity in that state, it is purified into clear light. Dreaming: During the daytime, whatever you do—walking, standing, sitting, or lying down—verbally declare, "This is a dream." When falling asleep, focus your mind on the red "Ah" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal meaning: none) at your throat. With the intention of recognizing the dream as a dream, grasp the dream. Even if a dog appears, it will transform into your lama and yidam deity. Request teachings from it, go to the Buddha-fields, and behold all the Buddha-fields, viewing whichever field you desire. By abiding in the Great Seal within the dream state, it will be realized. Transference of Consciousness (Phowa): Assume the seven-point posture of Vairochana. Visualize your own body as the yidam deity, the co-emergent Heruka. Within the clear, empty expanse of your body, visualize the central channel as being the size of a medium arrow shaft, with its upper end open at the crown of your head, containing the syllables "Kha" (Tibetan: ཁ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ख, Sanskrit Romanization: kha, Literal meaning: space) and "Ang" (Tibetan: ཨྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हूँ, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: seed syllable), and its lower end inserted four fingers below the navel, being red in color. In the sky one cubit above the crown of your head, visualize Guru Dhaja Shri Bhadra (Tibetan: གུ་རུ་དྷཱ་ཛ་ཤྲཱི་བྷ་དྲ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: गुरु धा जा श्री भद्र, Sanskrit Romanization: Guru Dhā Ja Shrī Bhadra, Literal meaning: Guru Dhaja Shri Bhadra) in the attire of a renunciate, with his hands in meditative equipoise and his legs in the vajra posture, surrounded by the lamas of the Six Dharmas lineage. Four fingers below the navel, within the central channel, visualize the essence of consciousness as a white bindu the size of a mustard seed, with a red "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum) syllable in the center, about the size of a pea. When that becomes clear, verbally utter "He" (Tibetan: ཧི, Sanskrit Devanagari: हे, Sanskrit Romanization: he, Literal meaning: He) and "Kye" (Tibetan: ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: क, Sanskrit Romanization: ka, Literal meaning: Ka), visualizing the bindu reaching the crown of your head. Imagine the Brahma aperture to be ashen gray, like a chimney hole in a house. Again, utter "He" (Tibetan: ཧི, Sanskrit Devanagari: हे, Sanskrit Romanization: he, Literal meaning: He) and "Ka" (Tibetan: ཀ, Sanskrit Devanagari: क, Sanskrit Romanization: ka, Literal meaning: Ka), visualizing it shooting out from the Brahma aperture, going upwards like an arrow being shot. Merging into the Guru's
