Reaching the throat. During the time it takes to eat a mouthful of food, recite "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: ka, literal meaning: ka), causing the bindu to slowly descend from the fontanelle to four fingers below the navel. Then, by saying "ཧིག་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hik, literal meaning: hik), it reaches the crown of the head. Again, by saying "ཧི་ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hika, literal meaning: hika), it reaches the heart of the guru. By saying "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: ka, literal meaning: ka), it descends to below the navel. In this way, while maintaining a clear visualization, each practice session should be meditated on no less than twenty-one times. Also, immediately upon waking up in the morning, thinking that one must go to the pure land one desires to go to, such as Sukhavati or Abhirati, or the pure land of the emanation of Oddiyana, etc. One should clearly recall the arrangement of that pure land in one's mind, and thinking that one has gone to that pure land and is engaging in virtuous practice on a lotus, one should keep the mind in a state of equanimity for a long time. This is one round of visualization. Again, by saying "ཧིག་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hik, literal meaning: hik), the bindu within the central channel, together with "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal meaning: Hum), shoots out from the crown of the head and dissolves into the heart of the guru, remaining there for a short while. By saying "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: ka, literal meaning: ka), it descends to below the navel, remaining there for a short while. This is one round of visualization. Again, as before, while maintaining a clear visualization, meditate on the guru, who is inseparable from the pure land one favors, residing in the sky one cubit above the crown of the head, and the teacher, who is inseparable. By saying "ཧི་ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hika, literal meaning: hika), the bindu comes from the crown of the head and is thought to dissolve into the heart of the teacher. Again, by saying "ཀ་" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: ka, literal meaning: ka), it is lowered as before. Having meditated in this way, the signs are that the crown of the head itches and is hot, yellow water comes out, and swelling, etc., occur. One should meditate until these signs appear. Again, by meditating as before, the bindu marked with "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal meaning: Hum) dissolves into the heart of the lama, and the lama, like an arrow shot to Sukhavati or Abhirati, etc., goes and dissolves into the heart of Amitabha or Akshobhya, and one should place awareness on the practice without distraction. At the time of sleeping, awareness comes out from the heart and is shot to whatever pure land one favors. One falls asleep in the state of being in that pure land. Applying it to activities: when the time comes, the body should be in a seated posture or the sleeping posture of a lion. One should clearly visualize one's own body as the external deity, the empty channels, the central channel, etc., as before. On the crown of the head, meditate on the lama and the teacher of whatever pure land one favors as inseparable. To this, perform refuge, bodhicitta, the seven-limb prayer, and supplication. Repeatedly generate the strong desire to go to the pure land one desires. One's own mind, the white bindu marked with "ཧཱུྃ" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration: hūṃ, literal meaning: Hum), rises up from within the central channel and reaches the crown of the head.
