Having prayed with one-pointed devotion and repeated the practice, it is mastered. 2. Second, regarding training: training in multiplying and transforming, abandoning into illusion, training in the conduct of illusion. First: It is not enough to merely grasp the dream. I will grasp the dream tonight, and having grasped it, I will multiply one into many, transform bad into good, transform into the body of a deity, and so forth. Thinking this, one should lie down to sleep. Once the dream is grasped, one should think, "The dream is not truly established," and thus one will be able to do it. For example, transforming oneself into a dakini, transforming a bad dream into a good one, visualizing one's own body as the illusory body of a deity, transforming it into whatever one desires, such as bliss, and many different faces and hands, transforming one into many and many into one, one should train in illusion and transformation. In order to train in this way, one should make a clear determination at bedtime: "Dreams are not truly established, they are merely illusion. Therefore, having grasped the dream, I will transform one into many, into various deity bodies, and so forth, transforming and transforming as I please, and I will establish this firmly." One should do this with a clear intention. 3. Second, if one sees frightening appearances in a dream, such as fire, great water, a cliff, an enemy, or a wild animal, one must abandon them and train in illusion, because dreams are appearances that arise even though they do not exist, and they are not truly established. So, who will be burned by the fire? Who will be carried away by the water? Who will be harmed by the enemy? Who will be eaten by the wild animal? Who will fall off the cliff? Because it is not truly established, but is like an illusion, I will recognize all appearances in the dream as illusion, abandon fear, and train. Thinking this, one should recite: "The appearances in dreams, fire, water, poison, weapons, and so forth, none of them are established as what they appear to be. All are merely illusion, empty of truth. Therefore, I will abandon fear and dread." Having made this clear determination, one should lie down to sleep, and as soon as one dreams of something like fire, one should think, "Who will be burned by the fire in the dream?" and then stomp it out. With water, one should step and walk through it. With a cliff in a dream, one should think, "Who will fall off?" and then hover and fly like a bird. 4. Third, there are two types of training: training in worldly conduct and training in transcendent conduct. First, at bedtime: "Since anything can happen to the dream body, I will go to the realm of the gods to create happiness, and to the lower realms to create sadness,
